Anyone who optimizes their website content for Top 10 search engine rankings knows the value of using Wordtracker to locate popular, quality keywords.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve gradually developed my own system for using Wordtracker to locate new good-value key words and phrases and I thought it was pretty darn good. Time consuming, but good. That was until I read John Alexander’s Wordtracker Magic.
Wordtracker Magic uses the magic of Wordtracker and takes it one step further – using the power of Wordtracker’s powerful search database to tap into potentially unexplored key word niches.
Those of you familiar with Wordtracker will know about the Keyword Effectiveness Index (or KEI), a measure of a keyword’s potential. The KEI measures a keyword’s demand against its competition and awards it a score. The higher the KEI, the more potential that keyword has. According to Wordtracker, a keyword with a KEI score from 0 to 10 has little potential, whereas a keyword with a KEI from 100 to 400 is considered excellent.
The techniques outlined in Wordtracker Magic can help you uncover keywords with KEIs not just in the hundreds, but in the THOUSANDS, and even hundreds of thousands. That means you have the capacity to uncover keywords that are being regularly searched for, but with relatively little or no competition.
Wordtracker Magic gives you the techniques so you can learn to explore your target audience’s behavioral mind set, helping you uncover popular key phrases that you may not have even imagined, let alone thought to use. And best of all, John’s techniques are simple, easy to understand and can help save you many hours painstakingly exploring Wordtracker tools such as Wordtracker Universe.
Behavioral research
Wordtracker Magic looks at behavioral research versus keyword research. Behavioral research is important because, as John says, “A study of behaviors can carry you much deeper into understanding the desires of your target audience and ultimately, an understanding of what kind of content to provide for them.”
His techniques help you explore the behavioral trends of your target audience by using Wordtracker to think laterally, and hopefully uncover those magical key phrases we all hope to find – lots of search inquiries but little or no competition.
John’s ebook also explores the ease and simplicity of Wordtracker tools such as Comprehensive Search. Using his easy-to-follow techniques, it’s possible to uncover a store of popular keywords in a fraction of the time it usually takes.
Using the example “baby names”, John shows you how he came up with “Baby Names List” with a KEI of 7868. Wordtracker estimates this phrase will be searched for 620 times in 24 hours and only has 469 competitors. (The number may have changed by the time you read this.)
Similarly, “Baby Names Meanings” has a KEI of 12073, an estimated 1926 searches in 24 hours, with 2950 competing sites. Obvious must-haves for anyone with a site selling baby or prenatal products.
Those of you who use Wordtracker regularly may think much of what John has to say falls into the “I knew that!” category. I thought so too until I put John’s techniques into action, and discovered a whole range of new, high-value, key phrases in a category I’d previously considered to be done to death. And I discovered them in a quarter of the time it usually takes me.
If you are keen to take a look at a refreshing new approach to the painstaking task of keyword research, then I suggest you read John Alexander’s Wordtracker Magic.
