1. Project X – hot-selling unorthodox affiliate tactics
=======================================================
Chris McNeeney’s just launched Project X report is believed to have achieved a near-record sales day. (We can’t be sure because ClickBank doesn’t release such details.)
Chris believes that, because of the way sales are gathering momentum, Project X could set a ClickBank weekly sales record.
Project X describes a collection of affiliate methods – some of them unorthodox and even a little sneaky – which work in 2006.
You can learn more about the report here:
https://www.associateprograms.com/projectx
Chris, who’s also author of AdWords Miracle, says he noticed that many affiliate gurus were telling people to do one thing while using unwritten, different tactics themselves.
He’s investigated, thoroughly tested and now written about those super affiliate tactics.
Chris’s no-fluff report is just 50 pages. A large part of it describes methods I haven’t seen written about in any affiliate course or ebook – and I’ve read a heap of them.
Here’s some really good news…
Anyone who gets the report is entitled to future updates.
“I am going to be adding to the product HEAVILY for a massive update over the next few weeks,” Chris says. “More examples, live video tutorials, beginners sections, super advanced AdWords techniques, more ways to “borrow” from the super affiliates, a chapter from a $397 backend I had planned for next year…”
Who’s the Project X report for?
It’s NOT for affiliates who just want to generate revenue by building content pages and weaving affiliate links into them. If that’s all you want to do, you don’t really need this report, although Chris does sum up very neatly how to do this effectively.
The report is for affiliates who are prepared to put in a bit of work, do some research, and learn new techniques, to move nearer to being a super affiliate.
It isn’t push-button magical stuff. If you’re not prepared to actually USE at least one of the methods described, this report isn’t for you.
I’ve read it, made some notes and given it to an assistant who’s going to experiment with some of the techniques. To strengthen our business, I reckon it makes sense to use a broader range of revenue-generating methods.
For anyone who wants to try innovative methods that work, this 50-page report is an excellent resource.
Be warned: Chris says the special launch price will disappear within the next 24 hours.

2. Brilliant example of viral marketing
=======================================
Here’s something you don’t normally see in an affiliate product tracked by ClickBank – brilliant viral marketing.
Chris McNeeney demonstrates clearly that you don’t need a two-tier affiliate program to use viral marketing.
When you buy most affiliate products, somewhere at some stage the merchant tells you about their affiliate program, or you stumble upon a link to it.
In comparison, when you get Project X, Chris doesn’t leave anything to chance.
He invites you to take part in his affiliate program and uses a benefit-laden sales letter to convince you to act – right now.
Think about it. First, a hot sales letter followed by another hot sales letter to immediately sign up affiliates, while they’re totally focused on Chris and on his product. This is a very powerful combination.
Here are two other clever things Chris does.
He promises free future updates to his book. This gives his buyers a strong incentive to stay subscribed to his list.
Remember that ClickBank doesn’t tell merchants who their affiliates are? Chris overcomes this problem by collecting the email addresses of people who want to be his affiliates. You click to show you’re interested, he collects your email address, and then you get the information you need.
He starts the sales letter for affiliates with a teaser…
“Fill in the blank: the one thing that every super affiliate knows that the rest don’t is…”
You’re forced to read on.
Anyone who gets the book will find out Chris’s answer.
If you sell your own Internet marketing product, you MUST see this brilliant page – not the main sales letter, but the one after that, which is used to sign up affiliates.
It’s one of the main reasons why Project X is such an incredibly hot product.
I strongly recommend you investigate this…

3. Over 100,000 sales – and now it’s free
=========================================
Ken Evoy’s superb ebook, Make Your Site SELL!, which has sold more than 100,000 copies, is now free.
Launched in 1999 and revamped in 2002, it was described as “The Bible of selling on the Net”.
If you haven’t read the evergreen, success-proven strategies in this 1,500-page classic of selling on the Internet, I strongly recommend you grab a copy. It belongs in every affiliate’s library.

4. The long tail and what it means to AdSense publishers
========================================================
I’ve just finished reading “The Long Tail”, an important book by the executive editor of Wired magazine, Chris Anderson.
As you probably know, there’s a “long tail” of keyword phrases. A large site can be found via all sorts of unexpected phrases, not just the 200 or so key phrases you may deliberately target.
A large website may be found via 10,000 or even 20,000 different search phrases each month.
To take advantage of this, your challenge is to add a variety of new relevant content to your site while not sacrificing quality. For example, you can hire writers or buy PLR articles which you rewrite (or hire someone to rewrite).
You can also ask for submissions from your visitors.
“The Long Tail” book describes the long tail of PRODUCTS. Different customers want a remarkable variety of products. When you offer them more choices, they buy a wider variety of products. In total, the long tail can be HUGE – larger than the top 20 products.
An interesting point Chris Anderson makes is that it’s not enough just to provide a long list of products. You have to help people decide which product to buy. One way to do this is to allow your website visitors to give their opinions, to add their comments, to review products.
In other words, think not just user-generated content, but user-generated content which helps your visitor decide what to buy.
I found the book a bit repetitive, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Seeing the same message written in several different ways helped pound the major points into my mind.
Google AdWords is an excellent example of the long tail. The product being sold is a simple, three-line text advertisement, which can be bought very easily and changed quickly in unique ways. To Google’s customers, it’s like millions of different products.
Because Google makes it so easy, AdWords is attracting a huge new audience of Internet advertisers who have never advertised before. Chris Anderson says that Google is “just getting started”.
If AdWords is just getting started, then so is AdSense – a very exciting thought for any AdSense publisher.
I’m interested in this because I earn a few thousand dollars a month from AdSense. It’s a small proportion of my monthly revenue, but enough to keep me keenly interested.
Scott Boulch wrote a deliberately provocative report called “The Death of AdSense”. It would have been more accurate if he’d called it “How AdSense Has Changed”.
Here’s what happened.
Google advertisers had complained that ads on the AdSense content network had a lower return on investment than ads on the Google search engine. So Google decided to allow separate pricing for ads on the content network. It was a sensible business decision, one which had been long requested.
This change strengthened AdWords, making it a much more useful tool for advertisers.
By making AdWords stronger and more useful, Google has made it even more appealing to a massive, growing market. In the long term, this is GOOD news for AdSense publishers.
AdWords is the engine which drives AdSense. Anything that strengthens AdWords and leads to more sales of AdWords ads, strengthens AdSense.
I hope this doesn’t sound too harsh, but if you think AdSense is dead, dying, or even slightly ill, the problem isn’t AdSense. It’s YOUR website. You’re doing something wrong.
I’ve resisted the urge to provide an affiliate link here to an AdSense product. I don’t want you to wonder if I’m sticking up for AdSense just so that I can sell you something. This issue is far too important for me to risk having you think that.
I know from first-hand experience – and cash in the bank – that AdSense still works beautifully. It’s one of the easiest ways of generating revenue online.
There are lots of other good ways of making a living online. However, the bad news is that if you’re not succeeding with AdSense, you’ll probably find any other online revenue generating method even tougher to conquer.
So don’t blame AdSense. If something is wrong, fix your website. By now, you ought to know how. Build a high quality site. Get high quality links to it.
If you have any doubts about the future of AdSense, I strongly recommend you read “The Long Tail”, especially the section on how Google is marketing to the long tail.
The book is available at Amazon.
