1. 10 ways to use PLR articles

After my last newsletter in which I wrote about the launch of Mike Long’s article membership site, I received a number of questions.
How do you use these articles?
Here are nine ways to use private label rights (PLR) articles:
Rewrite them and distribute them to article directories, with a link to your website in a source box at the end. This will boost your link popularity, help raise your PageRank and send more visitors to your site, especially if other sites pick up the articles and publish them.
Rewrite them and submit them to other people’s newsletters, with a link to your site or newsletter in the source box.
Use them in an autoresponder course. Start by providing useful content and gently introduce a few affiliate links.
Package a bunch of articles together into a report to give away as an incentive to attract readers to your newsletter.
Create a report to entice people to sign up for your mailing list via a NameSqueeze page. If you don’t have a mailing list, today is a good time to start.
Use the articles as the basis of an ebook you can sell.
Add them to your websites – niche sites or portals – to attract search engine traffic and AdSense revenue. Add affiliate links and generate affiliate revenue.
Add them to your blog to help attract search engine traffic.
Do your own keyword research and incorporate new key phrases and synonyms in the articles for optimum search engine optimization.
Some webmasters add articles to their junk auto-generated directories in the hope that this will save the sites from being filtered out by Google.
For long-term success, a smart thing to do is to use the articles as inspiration only. Do your own research. Add your own facts, anecdotes and personality to produce a totally unique, valuable article.
How much rewriting should you do? Will just writing a brief introduction to the article and perhaps adding your own comments after the article do the trick?
Google makes it clear in its webmaster guidelines that it doesn’t like duplicate content. Although Google isn’t doing a brilliant job of filtering out duplicate content at the moment, I think it’s inevitable that Google will get better at doing this.
So the more genuine rewriting you do – not just changing a few words here and there – the more success you’re likely to have in the search engines.
Because of the fast rate at which people are snapping up article site memberships, I suspect that most article buyers are doing very little rewriting. For us, that’s good. Our unique, carefully rewritten articles have much more chance of ranking well.
What are the topics of the articles?
Some article sites give you plenty of details about the articles you’re getting, telling you the topics available and showing you examples.
Mike Long has managed to sell almost all his membership spots without revealing such details – and he’s done so very quickly.

Nicheology, launched last year by Jimmy D. Brown and Ryan Deiss, quickly reached its membership cap of 1,500 members. New memberships are offered when an existing member leaves. The site provides lots of details, instructions and a forum for members. This is a very professional site. You can put your name down on a waiting list. I belong to this one and recommend it.

Stefan Everaet provides at least 60 very high quality articles each month, plus superb graphics and keyword research. Stefan says that this month, the three main topics will cover weddings, web hosting and wine. Upgrades for his credit cards and cats packages will be released, too. Stefan provides very high quality articles. I recommend this site. It’s excellent value.

Here are two article sites which I haven’t tried. They look promising…
Bryan Winters provides a huge article database. Members get unlimited access to over 40 niche categories and hundreds of topics. You also have access to niche content article packs and private label products with the sales letters already written for you. You can post “articles wanted” requests. If you like writing articles, you can get paid for them. There is no restriction on membership numbers. The membership fee is modest.

Sandra Stammberger promises 300 fresh, keyword dense articles a month. She’s limiting membership to 150 people and has almost sold out.
