1. A new way to identify profitable niches
==========================================
It’s a bit like the Holy Grail of marketing, isn’t it? A profitable but under-served niche. It’s a big challenge, but one that Myleena Phan has overcome. She’s worked out how to find dozens of profitable niches.
Myleena had been busy creating websites only to discover after she’d done a heap of work that her sites often had one of the following problems…
* The niche was so competitive she struggled to get traffic for her main phrases.
* The niche was so small hardly anyone came to her site.
* She achieved a good AdSense click-through rate but made only a few cents for each click.
So Myleena developed her own simple formula for identifying profitable niches.
She doesn’t believe in having hundreds of websites. She told me she owns 36 sites, making an average of $15 a day. Let’s see… 15 x 36… that means she’s making more than $16,000 a month.
Of course I can’t promise you’ll do as well, but I strongly recommend you check out what she does.
She’s written a free report which is one of the most impressive free reports I’ve ever seen.
The 47-page, no-hype report “How to Uncover Red Hot Niches With a Simple, Step-by-Step Formula” describes not only how she finds a profitable niche, but also describes why she does it her way.
I found quite a few of the things she does surprising, but the report is very persuasive.
Step-by-step, Myleena describes how she identifies profitable yet under-served niche markets, using a simple and systematic elimination method.
She warns you right from the start that some of what says goes against the advice you’ve already read elsewhere.
This report is just SO smooth.
She takes you through a convincing discussion of her manual method, showing you exactly what she does, showing you how to create a spreadsheet with a list of keywords and six columns of data gathered from various sources.
Just when you’re thinking, “That’s all very well, but it looks far too time-consuming,” you come across a short video neatly embedded in her report.
The video shows you the Niche Inspector software that Myleena has created to do all the hard work for you.
This is absolutely brilliant pre-selling. I’m full of admiration. If you’re selling anything at all, study this….
First, Myleena explains WHY you should do things her way…
…next she SHOWS you how…
and then she shows you how to SAVE TIME.
It’s a wonderful natural progression, as you gradually learn more and more and until you’re actually getting her product. No buying decision needed. Awesome.
I’ve been testing the software and it does exactly what Myleena says. It keeps eliminating the not-so-good niches until you have only one left.
You start with a “seed” keyword – a broad idea – and the software builds a list of relevant keywords for you. Then you can decide how ruthless you want to be, letting the software systematically delete keywords which just aren’t quite good enough, until you’re left with a winner.
The beauty of all this is that if you’re short of funds, you can read Myleena’s detailed report, copy the exact steps she uses but do everything manually without paying for anything. You don’t have to get the time-saving software if you don’t want to.
However, I think you’ll probably be like me and decide to save a lot of time and grab the software. It’s very good.
Read Myleena’s report. It may change the way you think about choosing profitable niches…

2. Surprising way to find profitable niche
==========================================
One thing that really surprised me about Myleena’s formula is that when she starts with a broad idea she puts it into Yahoo’s Overture Keyword Suggestion tool, and then analyzes sub-keywords until she finds “the” golden nugget.
Overture? Good grief! If you’ve been doing serious keyword research for half an hour you’ve probably discovered that the Overture tool has serious problems, the most important ones being that it combines singular and plural phrases and combines word combinations, so you can get an unreliable idea of the demand for a phrase.
I’ve been pondering this, and I think the reason Myleena’s formula works so well is that she’s not relying solely on Overture data. She collects data from a variety of sources and her software analyzes the whole lot.
To find a profitable niche, she says, you start with a big list and then use filters to eliminate phrases until you are left with the best.
She’s not just saying “Trust me”. Her report explains the logic behind her system.

3. Why narrow it down to only ONE keyword?
==========================================
I was surprised that Myleena keeps eliminating keywords until you’re left with only one. I thought she’d want to find 50 or 100 or 200 keywords to build pages around. So I asked her about that.
“The reason I filter everything down to one phrase is that the keyword should be the main one to target (the niche). Then you could dig down that keyword to find sub-phrases (50, 100 or 200, etc) for your other pages if you want,” Myleena says.
“For example: if my niche is ‘Dog slippers’, I would concentrate on getting top rankings for that phrase and use the sub-phrases (“red dog slippers”, “dog slippers for rottweillers”, etc.) as additional traffic generators.”
She also pointed out that her report is about “niche research” and not “keyword research”.

4. First, you need to start with a few ideas to test
====================================================
Myleena’s new niche-finding software won’t be any use to you unless you have a few broad ideas that you want to test. You’ll want to start with several ideas for topics that you can plug into the software to see how they measure up.
Here’s an article I wrote which gives you dozens of sources of niche ideas. You should be able to find plenty of good ideas here…
Where to get ideas for a niche website
Are you sitting on the sidelines wondering if it’s still possible to generate useful revenue from niche sites? There’s a lot of doom and gloom stuff written on the Internet. Ignore it. I’ve been building niche websites online for 11 years and I can tell you that they definitely still work.
Beware of over-analyzing. Taking the first step is what really counts. Choose a niche, write some useful, unique articles, get some links to the site. Concentrate on doing stuff that achieves sales.
Was 2007 the year in which you were going to change your life for the better? Well, one quarter of 2007 has disappeared already. If you’ve been hesitating for far too long, Myleena’s software will be ideal for you because it will turbo-boost your decision-making.
While Myleena’s report concentrates on AdSense revenue, her niche-finding software is also useful for anyone involved in affiliate marketing, ebooks, membership sites or list building.

5. How to track affiliate clicks and sales
==========================================
No, this isn’t a story about the X-ray Domination thing you may have read about that costs a fortune. The following way of tracking affiliate clicks and sales won’t cost you a cent.
If you know you really ought to be tracking and testing and tweaking to maximize sales, but think it’s all too complicated, here’s some good news.
PHP programmer Neil Cahill has written an article for us which might just change your mind. His article explains how you can track clicks on your affiliate links, without paying anything for software or scripts.
You don’t want to waste time and money on AdWords or other PPC advertising that isn’t working. You can find out which advertising or promotional methods are best and producing the most traffic and sales.
“You’ll need your own hosting account with PHP for this to work. Don’t worry if you’ve never used PHP before, if you can upload files to your web space then you’ll have no problems here. A PHP file is no different from an HTML file in this respect – if you can upload web pages then you can get PHP scripts up and running just as easily,” Neil says.
Here’s his article…

7. Three ways to speed up your article writing
==============================================
If you know how to create unique articles fast, you can build larger websites containing more revenue-generating pages. You can also build more revenue-generating websites, so this is a hugely important skill.
I’m a strong believer in building a business which suits YOUR OWN strengths and interests, not someone else’s. The same applies when you’re choosing tools and techniques.
Here are three totally different ways to speed up the way you create articles for your website or blog…
* Interview experts:
Step out of your comfort zone. Send an email to an expert in your industry asking them if they’d be prepared to answer a few questions by phone or via email. This certainly beats writing every article yourself. You may be pleasantly surprised how many people say yes. I often do. Note: If the answers you receive aren’t very useful, DON’T just sigh and publish them anyway – send more questions asking for details, explanations, examples, etc. For long-term success, always ensure that what you’re publishing is useful.
I did an interview this week for George Manty (he calls me a “guru” but that was his idea, not mine). George asked some good questions but he could have improved his interview by first thinking of an eye-catching heading and then asking me questions to provide the story which the heading promised. For example. “Five ways to…” However, the tougher the questions you ask, the more likely people are to say no.
Here’s the interview
* Use new software:
Write one article and then use Jason Potash’s new Content Composer software to turn your one article into 20 or more unique articles, which you can submit to other websites in your niche, with a valuable link back to your site. The software enables you to switch words, switch phrases, switch paragraphs… do all sorts of things to create a bunch of articles which really are different from each other. One thing you can be sure of… some marketers will use this powerful tool intelligently and others will misuse it. To see if it’s for you, have a look at the videos on the blog…
https://www.contentcomposer.com/blog/optin
* Learn how to do it fast:
Discover how to research and write articles fast – maybe as fast as 30 minutes. This is an extremely valuable skill. Fellow Gold Coaster Andrew Hansen has written a new report on speed writing articles which is getting rave reviews. He gives you a no-fluff formula to help you write articles fast, without lots of pauses and fiddling about while you wonder what on earth to write next. It’s also very useful for re-writing PLR articles. Having simple rules will save you a heap of valuable time. You’ll want to print out Andrew’s “Golden Formula” (page 37) and keep it by your computer. Read the rave reviews…
