Associate Programs Newsletter #378
Joanna and I took her parents and a couple of other visiting relatives to a local surf club for a Lamb Shanks, Jazz and Shiraz night this week.
My in-laws loved it. At 89 and 90, they didn’t look much older than the old musicians on stage…

1. Lamb shanks, jazz, shiraz and a blank newsletter
===================================================
I’m very sorry about the blank newsletter which I sent out the other day.
I was rushing to get it done before going out to a Lamb Shanks, Jazz and Shiraz night at one of our local surf clubs. But surely that had nothing to do with the newsletter problem? It was the software, right?
Oh well, the lamb shanks and jazz were superb, even if the newsletter wasn’t. If you’re lucky enough to live within driving distance of Greenmount Beach, southern Queensland, Australia, I recommend you try the Wednesday jazz nights. All for a mere $14.90.
Restaurant competition is fierce here. Our little village by the sea has more than 100 restaurants and eating places within walking distance of our apartment. You can get special deals if you dine before 7 and a couple of places have weekly half-price nights.
I feel sorry for the restaurant owners. Their customer numbers are strictly limited to people who live within driving distance. About the only way to achieve real growth would be to open new restaurants, with all the associated high costs.
In comparison, entrepreneurs like us doing business on the Internet have an almost unlimited potential audience and minimal costs. If one niche gets too tough we can switch to another one. Or we can add another revenue stream.
I hope you realize just how fortunate you are.
Don’t let talk of a recession scare you. That talk doesn’t need to involve you.
Our business grew 30% in the year of the dot-com crash. If you’re nimble on your feet and grab new opportunities with both hands, the sky is the limit, in good times or bad.
One of my favorite sayings is, “If it’s going to be, it’s up to me.”
YOU decide your future. It’s up to you to take action to make things happen. Every day. Don’t be swayed by other people’s doubts and scare-mongering.
One online entrepreneur whose business is growing in leaps and bounds is professional blogger Yaro Starak, from Brisbane, about an hour’s drive from where we live. I’ve been watching his fast progress with great interest.
Last year, when he wrote an article for AssociatePrograms.com, he was talking about $2000 months. Now he’s talking about his $10,000 to $35,000 months. He’s definitely a guy to watch.
As he describes in his new 33-minute video, he generates his revenue the smart way, by using what he calls “Conversion Blogging”, combining blogging, an email list and automation.
If you blog hard instead of smart, you really do need to see this…

3. Student’s view of Dan’s affiliate training
=============================================
If you’ve been wondering whether you should try Dan Ho’s affiliate training, you’ll find this interesting.
I asked one of Dan’s students, Len McGrane of Christchurch, New Zealand, to describe what it’s like to be taught by Dan.
Len isn’t a newcomer to affiliate marketing. In fact, a few years ago, he read about Dan’s success in promoting a health company, tried to do the same – and failed.
However, after only five days as a student of Dan’s article marketing training, Len received a commission from the SAME company that he had failed with years ago.
Len, who is now one of Dan’s enthusiastic fans, gives three reasons why Dan’s affiliate training works so well…

“I never heard of a jazz musician who retired. You love what you do, so what are you going to do? Play for the walls?” – Nat Adderley, jazz cornetist.
