Whether a good book, speech or movie, the thing that I love the most is the way that it flows.
My first impression when Jay asked me to check out DIYSEO was, “It’s a masterpiece.”
I know that this may sound a little over the top but after a couple of minutes digging around I knew I was on to a winner.
What is DIYSEO?
DIY stands for Do It Yourself and of course SEO (for those of who are really new) means Search Engine Optimization.
It’s a tool that’s been designed to help your site ascend into top positions on natural/organic search engine pages such as Google.
SEO can be a rather complex undertaking, however, DIYSEO is not a back yard attempt to create a simple solution.
The project received 1.5 million dollars in venture capital funding and I believe when you use it you’ll agree that it’s been money well spent.
There are a few SEO heavy weights behind it and this also lends to its credibility.
They promote it as “SEO for small business” but actually, I can think of a few big businesses that could certainly benefit from it.
Using DIYSEO
SEO Kindergarten: Site Questionnaire
The first thing you do here is fill out the questionnaire for your site.
Enter your site’s primary web address. What’s its official name? What country are you primarily targeting and so forth?
They ask you to input 1 – 3 sites in your sites niche that excel at SEO.
Later on you are shown what these guys did to achieve their rankings and also how to knock them off their perch.
So after filling in these basics you click Next Step and here’s what you’ll see.
SEO Kindergarten: Keyword Targeting
You simply enter 1 or 2 keywords or phrases to generate keyword ideas for your business.
After clicking Get Keywords you’ll see the Suggested keyword terms of which you are asked to choose 5 or so related keywords that you will add to your keywords term list.
Now it’s onto…
SEO Grade School: Basic Link Building
Link building… Down to the basics.
This is just one area where DIYSEO is so well thought out.
Notice that each step has an About Task button which gives you a quick run down or orientation on each step.
There’s a How to Complete button which gives you detailed instructions on how to most effectively complete each task.
You can also Add Notes, Skip the Task or Recheck it.
So as you can see, DIYSEO actually background checks each of these steps on your live site letting you know whether it passes or fails on each step. It’s a real time SEO tune up tool.
I also like the way they give you an estimate for how long each step should take to achieve. It’s very user friendly.
From here it’s onto…
SEO Grade School: Basic On-Site SEO
You can see straight away whether or not your site is geared to rank well for the keywords you want it to rank well for.

SEO High School: Advanced Link Building
If you take this section seriously, once completed your site will have more than a dozen quality links pointing to it that will make the engines sit up and take notice.
With powerful sites linking to yours your ranking will start to climb.
This process entails improving the validity of your site in the eyes of search engines.
SEO High School: Advanced On-Site SEO
Again, a step by step pathway ensures that your site will comply with all of the important On site aspects.
Each important step is clearly covered and again you can learn about each point by clicking the About task button while gaining specific instructions on how to complete each task effectively.
I don’t want to show you everything because I want you to go over and take a look.

My Verdict
I’ve seen a lot of helpful SEO solutions in my time that have been designed to assist certain parts of the overall SEO puzzle.
DIYSEO delivers a fully comprehensive and complete SEO program with full training and action steps all located in one place.
It’s a work of art!
Every single section has videos that can be accessed by clicking Watch How It Works that further explain and train the process.
This is world class!
What are the cons? There are none. The only thing I could poke a finger at is that it’s not free and it would be nice if it was.
However, given the R & D that’s gone into it, the sizable investment and the fact that there are credible SEO names involved, the small cost is fine.
They could have easily charged a whole lot more.
