It will be ready soon.

2. JP takes on the big three affiliate networks
========================================
Affiliate network MaxBounty has made big improvements in recent months and is now launching much bigger changes.
“We’re not the little network we used to be,” says founder and CEO JP Sauve.
I like JP’s fighting talk. He was so disgruntled about the treatment he received from affiliate networks – as an affiliate and as a merchant – that he decided to start his own affiliate network last year.
“MaxBounty is the first and only affiliate network that promises to reward webmasters properly for their hard work,” he says.
This year he bought Brian Welch’s network, LeadCrunch.
Now MaxBounty is getting bigger and better.
It accepts affiliates from all countries and pays affiliates in their local currency from local banks.
MaxBounty also provides sub-ID tracking so that affiliates can track which of their surfers signed up for which offer. JP says this is very popular with reward site affiliates.
“The big new news though – plain and simple – we’re taking on the big three networks.
“MaxBounty 2.0 now allows merchants to run their own affiliate program in an open marketplace format similar to the current big three networks, only at a much more affordable price – namely no fees at all for 2005.
“We offer a couple of one-ups on the competition beyond pricing. First we’re keeping our existing managed CPA campaigns as a separate arm of the new network, so for affiliates, they can run campaigns through us just like the old MaxBounty, or can choose to work directly with merchants via their self-run affiliate programs.
“Another one-up is that we allow merchants to run multiple campaigns under a global affiliate program. So if a merchant had two different websites and wanted to promote them both via an affiliate program, it wouldn’t have to be two separate affiliate programs…
“Our system is very customizable. A merchant has settings to allow or disallow email traffic, or incentive traffic, or international traffic. With the multiple campaigns option, a merchant can approve an affiliate for one campaign, but remove them from another, or pay different rates to different affiliates. We can handle CPA and CPS affiliate programs, and for per-sales affiliate programs, a merchant could either payout as a flat rate per sale or a percentage of the sale.”
Affiliates can win Affiliate Rewards points which can be cashed in for prizes.
“We launched the site for pre-registration to merchants so that we can have at least a short list of programs for our affiliates to partner with once we switch to the open marketplace,” JP says.
“We’re hoping for at least a dozen merchants in the next week or so, and plan to launch completely, making these merchant programs available to affiliates, shortly thereafter. Affiliates can sign up too of course, but they will see the older existing MaxBounty interface for the next week or so.”
At the moment the network has more than 130 offers for affiliates to choose from, nearly all pay-per-lead offers.
MaxBounty is one affiliate network to watch…

3. $100 SBI sale – fantastic value
========================================
If you’ve been thinking of getting Site Build It, Ken Evoy’s superb site-building, site-hosting, and site-marketing tool, that’s a very wise move.
Now’s the time to do it.
For a few days, Ken’s having a special sale.
The special ends at midnight, September 6, 2005.
I own a bunch of affiliate sites built the SBI way. While all sorts of silly fads and gimmicks come and go on the Internet, each of my SBI sites quietly generates hundreds or thousands of dollars month after month. The revenue is steadily rising.
SBI is used by newcomers and veterans because it works.
If you don’t use SBI, one thing you may not know is that SBI users are like a huge, friendly family.
The SBI private forum is the most amazingly informative, encouraging and helpful forum I’ve ever seen anywhere. It’s worth getting SBI just to gain access to the forum.

4. New research on using ALT text for SEO
========================================
How important is ALT text in search engine optimization?
Not important at all, apparently.
Here’s the latest research…

5. Help for Wordtracker users
========================================
If you use Wordtracker and you find its instructions complicated, you’ll love this.
My friend Phil Tanny has written the simplest, easiest to understand instructions I’ve ever seen for Wordtracker.
It’s 20 easy pages, mostly screenshots and it will cost you nothing.
