Great post, thank you for that. One thing I would like to say if i may. List building is the most important thing to really succeed online!

Also not to build your business too much around SEO and PPC. That means you become dependend on Google...

For example if Google decides to change it's algorythm you can start from scratch and that will repeat itself over and over again... who knows affiliate marketing as we know may cease to exist on google... it doesn't like affiliate sites as it stands now.

use other methods to drive traffic, many out there that work faster and better then Google anyway...

That is a scary thought. Many affiliates depend on Google with their very lives. Other forms of traffic and income should be established then. I even started using Yahoo Answers as a source of traffic, and it works well.

Other streams of income could be like marketing thru Youtube, or even creating your own products. However, i think info. products should be left to the much more experienced/successful marketers.

Wasn't trying to scare you off But it is something to think about, as you should never rely on others in this case Google. Otherwise you are at their mercy...

I forgot to mention, there is another not really talked about traffic method. Gets you a lot of targeted visitors and cosats less then ONE CENT.

The only thing I noticed is that you suggested focusing on conversion over traffic. What I would say to that is the focus should be firstly on getting traffic - easiest when you have good targeted keywords for a hot niche that naturally attracts traffic, and then focus on conversion rates.
