I know how to have text of images on the sidebar of my wordpress blog. But how do I insert a banner of text above all my posts.

I hope you understand what I am saying.

Hey Matt.
I fudged till I got it to work,
Not sure the coding looks like on your blog.
But I'll show you where in my template I added the banner.
Go to index.php open it up
then find this line of code:
*<?php if (have_posts()) : ?>*
<p></p>
*<?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>*
put banner here.
