Does anyone use any type of blogging software to get traffic to their blogs.

Or is that not recommended.

The most effective ways you could do to drive traffic to your blog is thru article marketing and submitting to directories, social bookmarking, blog and forum postings. There is really no specific software, just do thesed things manually Wink

The preceding advice was right on. When you have a well optimized site, with quality content, the visitors will come...eventually, even just relying on organic traffic. If you write and submit articles to relevant sites, post comments on blogs, post in forums, list your site in directories...they all help.

Even if it's not generating traffic directly, if it's just getting a link or comment 'out there', it all helps. Word-of-mouth, newspaper ads, it depends on how much you want to do.

I knew one guy that put flyers on cars in Wal-Mart's parking lot!! Sounds crazy, but whatever works, I guess. He said it did, I dunno.

You can use differnet social bookmarking sites to generate traffic to your blog.

A lot of marketers say Stumbleupon is the best bookmarking site for driving traffic to blogs at the moment.

Forums and backlinking with signatures is a good way . What I am currently debating is should I post around 10/20 posts in around 100 sites or 100/200 posts in 10 sites ..

I can't agree that forum gives less traffic.
It gives you goods hits, but important is quality traffics. If, you are doing “Work At Home Business” and you try to use forum related to Property investment or Government Political site, you can not get quality traffic at all.

Forum related to your products or website content would give you quality click and possible sales.
