I have finally been accepted by Kontera and I am running it on three sites. So far the earnings are low, but Adsense CTR has also been down lately. There is absolutely no problem running the two together.

I have seen that Adbrite performs well with websites, but the links are not keyword targeted. I think it is due to lesser advertisers. The rates are not bad. And also you can place all other similar ads. No strict rules and policies like Adsense.

Hi,
I have tried Google, It was expensive to advertise with, I had plenty of traffic and a few sales but because the cost was so high I could not afford to stay with it. Now Googles adsense is good if you like being paid in pennies. It seems to take forever to earn a income.
The alternative in Search engines I discovered is Search Big Daddy, a new search engine that pays you in ppc to search in your own portal, post articles in a free blog, buy keywords in a cloud page and more.

I have been doing AdSense for a couple years and like it though my earnings have been going down slowly.
Maybe it's time to try something else.
I applied to yahoo's network but was declined.
I think I will try Chitka.

There are lots of other services there that you could try out. Ours for example start at just $5.
Having two or thee would have better chance of multiplying your revenue. Goodluck

I will disapoint you but i have used many adsense alternatives with no results. The reason is that google has a huge number of advertisers which means showing relative contextual ads in every pageview. No one else can provide that especially if you use a specific niche where relativity is highly important.
the only alternative i can think of is yahoo publisher which is only in USA.

CPA will be better or should be better, but involves more work. The reasons for this is because there is a good few people that are actually making money through CPA offers that do it via Adwords PPC. So some of them ads in Adwords is actually going to landing pages where people are earning via CPA/CPL.
They are using CPA Affiliate Networks to find these sorts of offers and there are many cpa affiliate networks on the web.
Another good alternative would be YPN, which is Adwords competitor.

I've been happy with Adsense alone for the past few years (I have other sources of income on my website that are not affiliate ads) but this year my income from Adsense has gone down every month and I'm not happy obviously. Compare my 2006 August income (adsense alone) was $1100 vs 2007 August @ $640. What I'm seeing is what I call "fake ads", probably from all the people out there learning how to make money from "Adsense Websites". After clicking a few times, I believe my visitors have given up on finding any helpful information or products. I say this because I have more visitors than before and have put ads on more pages, but I'm getting less clicks.

I have an avg. of *** unique visitors per day, plus return visitors too, so I believe all you people who never would have built a legitimate website if it hadn't been for Adsense have broken a very viable program for advertisers and publishers. And Google is at fault too since I believe they're just sitting back and collecting the money without making sure it's a legitimate advertiser.
I did sign up with Kontera and have given it 2 months but I'm not finding it to be effective. There are very few relative ads and it's just a waste of my time, plus it slows down the loading of my pages. I finally took it off my front page because it was so slow and then only one ad out of 4 or 5 was related to my site. I've only made $77 with this program since Aug. 1 but like I said, they don't seem to be serving enough related ads to keep me interested for my readers.

I think you are talking about Made for Adsense site and Arbitrage. They are the sites that have mainly just adsense ads or other ads and then use adwords to buy cheaper traffic than what they are likely to receive back from the ads on their webpage or website.

Yes, that sounds like it. I'm not sure how this benefits anyone but Google. Even if it does bring them (the advertisers) traffic from my site, they have to pay for it. So if site XYZ pays .01 cent for each click off my site are they somehow getting ads that are paying more per click so they end up making a profit?
I hate to even post here anymore because it's become a place to learn how to screw the system and legitimate websites more than how to make it work fairly. |
