Hosting depends on what kind of site you have (ie marketing, info, ecommerce) and what tools you plan to use. I use different web hosting for different applications.

Hmm - why would I move when I'm basically happy where I am situated; I sell hosting and am delighted with server support and reliability. I don't have the energy or enthusiasm to move.
It's not always about the money ...

You won't believe this!!
I have a couple of web hosting review sites, and I always discourage any type of FREE hosting. As an experiment to prove free hosting stinks, I set up a FREE site.
It's a good site, plenty of space(storage), lots of room for traffic (transfer), email, the control panel is limited but works, no down time, no service problems. I WAS WRONG! I knew you would never believe that I was wrong, Smile.

I agree with quest: there is no one best host. However Hostmonster offers some good features: 300 Gigabytes of Hosting Space, 3,000 Gigs of Transfer, Host UNLIMITED Domains, Front Page Extensions, etc.
If you sign up for the 2 years hosting you get it for $142.80 and built up to 999 sites... :)

Each host has thier advantages and disadvantages. Just try to use a host that has been around for a while not one that shows up one day and offers lowest prices.

I have been using GoDaddy for 2 years and haven't had any problems.
Has anyone had problems with Godaddy? Just curious.
There is no best host but if you find one you like just stick with it. It's not worth moving everything to a new host to save a couple bucks, imo.

As others have said, there really isn't one host that is the BEST at everything. You need to carefully consider your own needs and compare hosts to find the one that bests fits what you're trying to do.
If you're looking to build lots of small sites you'll want a host that lets you host unlimited domains. If you don't want to learn any html you'd better have a host that is compatible with the web design software you use. If your site is large and consumes a lot of resources you may need a dedicated server.
