Hi All!

We all AdSense users wonder how to increase the income. We have a hint that the more expensive keywords mean more money to the medium also.

But what is the truth? Does Google pay according to the keyword, which a searcher has typed in before finding our page or according to the keyword, which has determinded the ad placement?

Hi Runner
Adsense ads are displayed according to the content on your website and keywords of your content.

The value of the clicks depends upon the value of the keyword for which advertisers have invested. There is no relationship with the serch term typed on the search engine.

I have a content website for past 2 years. But the total income per month is gradually decreasing every month. But the visitors and click through rates are same.

I welcome other adsense publishers to share their expereience.

Your paid a percent of price the person who bought the ad paid. Smart priceing is making it harder to make good money per click.

Advertisers find keyword combinations that cost very little and the ads show up on your site. If your site is about hosting you would think you will make good money per click. if someone finds your site or uses keywords that have little competition they can pay as little as 1 cent per click to you. they pay more for the ad but you make 1 cent because google gets the rest.

This is NOT true. Smart pricing is weeding out the crap sites so the Advertisers don't get burned paying high prices for low converting traffic.

Build a site that Google Values (You see this in the misunderstood Page Rank - but a better indicator is simply if you are ranking well in competitive markets) and you'll see that Google does in fact payout very well.

That has to be a good longterm approach for all concerned.

I've always said I much prefer Adsense as a publisher than as an advertiser. I still stand by that. If advertisers all opt out of Adsense, what are the publishers going to do?

Google has a tougher job policing publishers than advertisers, though.

Just a thought,
Charlie.
