Well I've decided to go ahead and jump on the SBI bandwagon....it just seems to make the most sense for a newbie And I'll begin my journey as an affiliate marketer. I'm seriously considering The 5 Pillar Affiliate program for starters. Good idea? I'm assuming that I will learn how to build a unique site at SBI which will help me as an 5 Pillar Affiliate, right?
BTW...Any SBI'ers who live in Japan? |

Hi JazzyJeff,
I am also a SBIer. My best wishes for a successful website launch. SBI is a great starting for a newbie. If you select a good and profitable niche to build the site you may not even think about SBI affiliate program.
Best of luck!

Hi JazzyJeff,
Congratulations on your decision SBI is a magnificent product.
Being an SBI owner will certainly help you as a SBI affiliate, you will know the product first hand and so will be able to write about it with conviction.
Don’t choose SBI as a niche however, affiliate marketing and related niches are fiercely competitive.
Choose something you love and with SBI you have every chance. _________________ Why Do Most Affiliates Make Less Than $500 Per Month?

Catherine, I had a look at your site. Did you build it from scratch through SBI? If so, was this from 1 of the templates available from SBI's site builder? I would pick a different color for myself & I suppose the color is 1 of the many variables. I take it the site builder's many features includes page lay-out? If so, are you able to vary, to any extent, the page lay-out? [eg. say if you want 2 columns, 1 to the left & 1 to the right of the main body (just like this Associate Programs page) are you able to vary the bordering of these 2 columns to vary their horizontal dimensions?]
Sorry for these naive questions, but it's only a matter of time before I sign up for SBI myself! Meantime, I'm trying to find out as much as I can!
Thanks! |

Hi there. There doesn't seem to be any limitations on how you lay your site out with SBI. If you go to the homepage there is a link at the top that will take you to client sites. They have quite a few on there and it will give you some ideas on different layout etc.
The site in my signature was built with XSitePro (XSitePro and SBI are the only ones I recommend for beginners). XSitePro is also great, but it is just a site designer and you don't get many of the features you get with SBI. The header was designed using adobe photoshop - but they also have templates included.
If you have no business experience at all, I would definitely try SBI for your first site as it is a complete package. _________________ Catherine Lawson's Business Advice Blog |

| Hi Jeff! I am also jumping on the SBI wagon. There is a two for one sale now. I have plenty of ideas for my site. What concerns me now is how am I going to be able to set up affiliate agreements with various companies that sell products in my field. I am really happy to finally be taking the plunge into SBI. |

Don't worry, you will find plenty of guidance, at the right time, for finding, selecting and setting up affiliate programs. SBI will help you and you can also get all the help you need right here at Allan's site. _________________ Why Do Most Affiliates Make Less Than $500 Per Month?
