Post subject: A few questions about SBI

I have a few questions about SBI before I go at it.
Does it allow as many pages as I want?
Does it allow different sections with pages underneath them?
Subdomains?
Page forwarding? _________________ Fitness and nutrition tips for todays geek! |

Hi Sindicut ,
I am a SBI User. I have built my website 2 years back and it is still now generating some adsense income. Every day Ken is updating the services. I can tell you the features i have used.
You can build unlimited pages.
You can't add subdomain. I asked for the same thing and they said no.
You can create folders to group the similar type of pages.
You can add second tier pages without adding in the menu.
I don't know the availability of page forwading facility.
You can ask for support before buying.
I hope this helps you.
Best of luck!

Just to elaborate on a couple of points...

Yes. This is an organisational tool for you, the site builder. The folders will not show in the URLs of pages, and are invisible to visitors (and SEs) altogether.

By second tiers, they mean distance in links from the homepage. This is SBI jargon for the linking hierarchy, not the folder hierarchy that many people think in.
These days, many people see the distance in links from the home page as the best way to look at it, from a SEO point of view.

You can use meta refresh or Javascript page forwarding, but not server side redirects (like 301s) as you don't have .htaccess.
This shouldn't be a big problem for a content site, especially since SBI has a very good in-built system for tracking outgoing links, using the Javascript "onclick" method.
Hope this helps,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

Now that Infinit has been released, a whole lot of the answers about SBI all over this forum will be out of date. _________________ Allan Gardyne
