Post subject: What I need to do? I need help and advice

Dear all fellow members,
Hello, Raul Thi here, a chinese, 21 from KL,Malaysia.
I am a newbie. To be transparent, i finished my second year from a college since Dec 2002, i failed a business in between 2/2003-7/2003, worked for some part-time job in between 8/2003-11/2003, and now i am jobless.I have no income source.
However, i am staying with my family,which mean don't have much financial pressures and i have some debts, for around USD1K needed to clear within a year. However, since i am the eldest children of my parents, i have to earn a living for myself too, and to help my family as well.
I have no more than USD50 in my pocket and bank account now. I always remind myself of Anthonny Robbins tutorial as never give up on internet marketing. Sincere, after trial on MLM, regular business and working9-5, i have most passion on home business, internet.
I have some ebooks and tools which i found for free, i purchased JoeKumar "30days" and just started reading it now.
My very first need is to survive with internet. I would like your advise and help, WHAT I NEED TO DO?
Regards,

My suggestions:
1. Don't give up on the net
2. Get some job somewhere to help out at home
3. Work on the net as you can
4. Read Allan's articles,
5. Subscribe to his newsletter;
6. Read up on the archives here and his main site;
7. Read Kumars book, since you have it;
8. Get the Affiliate Masters course, sign up under Allan's link;
9. Research and select your site type, topic, keywords and affiliate programs;
10. Learn the basics of html;
11. Get a decent template to use that fits your site type and topic (loads available for free ... search Google for "free web templates" then;
12. Build your site;
13. Get a cheap webhost (check the recommendations in the webhost forum on here);
14. Buy your domain; get it setup on your host;
15. Get your site uploaded;
16. Exchange links with complimentary sites;
17. Submit their link page to Google once your link is live on it;
18. Find forums and chatrooms related to your topic, start posting, using your site url in your signature (where allowed), then submit these live pages to Google as well;
19. Keep track of your site stats, rankings when possible;
20. Track, tweak, track some more.
Ask the questions you like here, we will help as we can.
Rinse, repeat Seriously, get started.

Raul, There's a lot of excellent material in Joe's book. I suggest you study it carefully and think about the various approaches outlined there.
If I remember correctly, there's an excellent chapter by Harvey Segal in the first volume in which he describes step-by-step how he researches and creates an affiliate-driven site, cheaply.
He uses simple, easy-to-understand language.
What I like about the way Harvey does things is that he builds sites that are so useful people WANT to link them, want to recommend them to others. If you can do that, you'll succeed.
For example, Harvey has created sites on ad tracking and a good ClickBank guide.
It sounds as though you have the necessary skills to research something similar.
One good way to succeed is to aim to be the best in a small niche.
For example, here's a suggestion you could consider. Perhaps you could build the best possible PayPal guide. (If you're going to get a domain name that includes "paypal" make sure you get permission from PayPal first.) The site would be somewhere merchants would go when they wanted to sell products using PayPal and wanted to know about add-on scripts, etc. It could also be a site consumers would check out if they were thinking of joining PayPal.
PayPal has millions of users and inevitably some enemies. There are some strong anti-PayPal sites. You could investigate their claims and give your opinion.
I also recommend you get and study Ken's free Affiliate Masters Course. It's simply superb. You can download the whole course free here:

You'll find you can combine Ken's and Harvey's advice.
And, of course, follow Debs' excellent tips _________________ Allan Gardyne

There are several threads on here about payment alternatives; try a search on "payment options" or paypal and see what you get.

I do CJ ... They send my a Singapore bank draft. But I heard that CJ don't take Malaysian affiliates anymore. Hmmm ... Shareasale and Linkshare still take in Malaysian ... I just registered recently ...
You don't have to go for those that pays in Paypal. Infact, I think Paypal has been in a messy situation lately. TemplateMonsters stop using Paypal a few months ago ... _________________ Iszuddin Ismail aka Kidino

The only problem I have with Joe's book is the number of options. In the past, I managed to proctrastinate (to the point of madness) when presented with far fewer choices than this.
When you've read it, make sure you pick one and go for it. None of them are "perfect".
Incidentally, I liked Neil Shearing's plan.
All the best,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

Don't even think about what niche until you read Joe's book, and get the Affiliate Masters course done.
Once you absorb those two training guides, then you will understand more about how to pick your niche and go with it.

Your task now is to actually read the good stuff that has been recommended and think about it carefully. When you've done that, people on this forum will be happy to help you with the next step.
