Hi,
My name is Aneel Samuel and I'm new to the Internet Makreting world, A while ago I was just experimenting and made a website which had free hosting service. I tried using google to make some money applied for having thier advertisment displayed on my site. My website had traffic and I'm almost sure that someone must have clicked on the ads, however, my balance remained 0$ for a long time, could someone tell me whats up with that?

Aneel,
Google has a very good stats per each account. There you can see how many views and clicks your site has got.
The click through % tells you, how effectively the AdSense ads work. If the % is low, just try to change the location and the form of the ads.
Also the placement of the ads has meaning. For instance try to place them close to the H1, so the targeting will work better.
