Allan,
Stories like yours give others who may face health obstacles hope! Hope during serious illnesses is imperative to successful treatment and long term remission....or being totally cured. I had no idea you went through such an ordeal. As a dental hygienist, whenever we encounter patients who have won the battle, I just sit in awe. It takes a strong person to endure those treatments. New respect for you in fighting this battle. Yes, I hope you do take more vacations and take care of you!

BBH101, Thanks for your kind words. You'll be pleased to know I'm taking your advice - I'm planning a month-long vacation starting mid-July. 
It will be the longest vacation I've taken for about 10 years.
