Post subject: Article directories dropping in PR!

I have just read that article directories are dropping in PR!
Ezine articles had 7 before and now has 6, and goarticles dropped from 6 to 4.
Is it a general phenomena? It would be no wonder for me, because the more articles are posted, the less value they must have.

That can be. But I think it's also a matter of supply and demand. As ever more articles are published, or the number of article directories grows, the people who read articles will be strayed to more articles, so that each article will get less readers. And an article that has less readers can not be given so much value, which expresses here in Pagerank, respectively in general pagerank for the article directories.

I think this should concern us all.
Maybe Google starts to downgrade the value of the article directories because they are for promotion reasons and not for content. who knows , we can't be sure but that is the mindset Google use.

It is a matter of concern for the webmasters as only article submission guarantees one-way back link to our web pages. Diminishing PR of directories means lower PR for linked web pages.
