Please answer these 5 quesions...

1)How do you know if your website is Listed in the Search engines...

enter your domain in the search box?
eg, www .mysite.com ?

2)If you are not listed, is there a way of finding out Why you are not?

3)What are the main reasons for not being listed? (my site is old)


4)How do i get listed, whats an affective way?

5)and also the quickest way ?

1. here you can check easily: http://www.addpro.com/check_url.htm

2. It can take some weeks if your site is new. Do you have inbound links? If not, the SE spiders won't find you! Or maybe you've been banned, because you say you're site is older. Have you done any black hat SEO stuff? SEO spamming? Something automated that should push your site to the top?
You can write to the search engines and try to get unbanned...

3. no inbound links, site too new, banned.

4. get inbound links.

5. submit your site to SEs probably, but I wouldn't bother with it, because it won't help you if you have no inbound links, because without them you won't get good rankings.

(i answered general, so it could help people with new sites too)

try to get more incoming links to your site
and that clears most of your doubts.
place your links in the signatues of various forum.
submit to directories.
post in free classified ads etc..
