Post subject: SEO, does it really works?
|
|
|
Have been doing business on line for 3 years or so and SEO is a great tool to get FREE traffic, but there is but:
- cost a lot of the money
- if you want to be successful you need to pay someone else to do it for you full time
SEO yes, but you need a lot of the money if the market is higly competitive. Don't focus only on SEO as this is a long, long process and it takes months to see results.
While you are waiting for your SEO here are my ideas:
- join loyalty program on korunex dot com where you can advertise your offers and discounts
- advertise on GOOGLE, Overture
- advertise in local newspaper
- advertise, advertise, advertise _________________ Jan Petrovic

So far as my exp the Google Adwords and Email Marketing are the best effective ones.
However if we have small ad budget then FREE posting is the good choice untill we get sufficient amount and knowledge to do the paid advertising. _________________ Instant FREE Website Submission

dtran: SEO is not cheap and is not a tool as mentioned in original post.
SEO is a strategy to get your site to be on top in the best search engines for most relevant keywords.
To get there in the first place might not be that expensive, but to stay there long term is definitely expensive/time consuming. _________________ 75GB Bandwidth, 5GB, 99.99% Uptime, Unlimited Addons, cPanel - $9.95mo

Seo is a great strategy for free traffic, when you finally get that top 10 position for a competitive keyword it feels like you hit the lotto. But with that said if you want to rank for the competitive terms you have to spend lots of time getting one way links from authority sites in your niche. There are some good tools on the market to help you do this.
When you are starting out with a new site a good strategy is to use traffic from other sites on the web which are already authorities. For instance, if you choose your keywords correctly, you can easily rank for decent searched terms by submitting articles to the article directories. The key here is decent searched terms, not the most competitive terms!
Also having a blog on your site and structuring posts about lower level keywords in your topic is another great strategy because these lower level keywords are much easier to rank for. So if you combine the searches for 75 less competitive keywords you will start to see the potential traffic to your site can be substantial.
So in a nutshell picking the right keywords to target can help you rank fairly quickly. _________________ John Slater,

If you want to pay someone, just go to elance or rent a coder and hire someone in romania that will go out an get your links for $5 or less per hour. After you have optimized title tags, h1 tags, and meta description, SEO is 80% about getting 1 way authority links.
You can hire this out, becsaue it is very time consuming. _________________ John Slater,

Nothing is for free if your counting your time, thats a fact.
But Seo comes 3 ways using the James Brausch method which I know works.
URL is 20%
onpage factors 40%
offpage factors 40%
One you have your url and onpage factors done its set and forget.
What will constantly take time is the offpage factors, linking strategies.
Now that is a decision on what is worth your time, pay someone or do it yourself.
Its pretty basic.
Just how many backlinks is needed if your competition has just a few you only need a few more quality links than your competitor.
Unless you are in a very competitive niche, I don't find this an issue.
Running a business is a constant tweaking process, if you don't adapt your out of business.

Some forms of SEO like PPC cost money but they assure you of visits. Some techniques like article marketing and forum marketing are free but not guranteed.
So it looks like you have to make a trade off. _________________ 16 Year old kid From Australia Reveals...
