You can also use Open Office - http://www.openoffice.org/ - which is a free alternative to Microsoft Office. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Can you turn off the copy function in the created PDF?

Open Office will allow you to create a PDF, but not do anything more. For example, you can't add bookmarks (Acrobat reader navigation), edit links or link to pages within the document. You're fairly limited.
CutePDF for $49 is much more useful.

However, in the Open Office text editor, you can add links into the text document before you convert it into the PDF format. _________________ Robert

Yea I know. I have fiddled with it a bit. Very easy to use. Save as pdf and bam! you got it. It would be nice if you could turn off the copy feature.

I second that. It also has addons that allow you to edit PDF files. _________________ Business Owners Guide to Going Online What every business owner needs to know about going online |

It is easy to create a PDF free. The hard part is DESIGNING the PDF. I have sold this type of info on eBay because it takes a long time to figure out.
I have posted sample videos about how to design your PDF with MS Word at http://www.resource-website.com. Try it and you'll understand what I mean.
Conversion is the easy part, design is the hard part. _________________ FREE HTML Tutorials, Dreamweaver Tutorials, Microsoft FrontPage Tutorials, PDF Creation Tutorials! Visit: http://www.resource-website.com! |

I've used most of them. There are major problems with most, if you really want Adobe type results.
Brand A is great, but won't password.
Brand B will password, but won't carry over hyperlinks.
Brand C will do standard links, but not if you have a different title on the link.
Etc.
After a half dozen or so, I gave up.
The pdf995 is free, and you can eventually do most of what the real things does, but it takes 3 modules, all free, but 3 times into each doc if you want to protect it and have semi-working links.
And with others the 40 character link only really works if you click the www, or some such.
Anyhow. I had enough! I thought what the hell, I'm going to break the budget here and get what I need all in one package, cost be damned!
So, I bought a program called PrintToPDF for $ 19.99 at Office Depot. Does it all, even watermarks, stamps, merges docs, web pages and emails into one final pdf.
You heard it here first. Not free, but it's like really getting Adobe for 20 bucks.
I sell other low-end business software. I'm going to get up with these people and work a deal.
Like the guy who liked the razor so much he bought the company, I'm going to get some sales rights on this baby. _________________ Dedicated Affiliate Hosting, Help with Pages, Free Templates $ 2 USD per mo.
