I am doing some keyword research using Overture keyword suggestion tool. What level of searches do you consider to be the minimum for a site creation from a mini site prospective. The keyword I was searching had about 600 searches but the competition was low.
Thanks for the help,

Sounds like a good one to me. I've pursued keywords with less searches, maybe not the best tactic, but I'm getting visitors and sales, so I'm not complaining.
I'd try researching it with a free trial of Wordtracker and see what that gets you. _________________ Robert

Hello BC.
I take the approach that if the competition is low enough, any level of targeted, "monetisable" traffic is worthwhile.
I have a large number of very small traffic (and corresponding income) streams which look insignificant on their own, but add up to quite an amount.
As long as you can keep your costs (in time and money) down, I see no reason why 600 in Overture need be too small. One thing to watch, though...
If the term is fairly general, is Overture pooling some less common terms in to artificially boost the total? Might be worth a second opinion from Wordtracker, just to check, as Robert mentioned.
Hope this helps,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."
