Post subject: Cookies?

hi all,
i have little question about cookie.
let say i send a visitor to merchant's site via my affiliate link, and the merchant's site stored the cookie of that visitor's computer for a period a time. if the visitor doesn't buy in the first attempt, but buy before the cookie expired, i get the commission. but how if, after the first visit, that visitor buy from the same merchant, but via a other's affiliate link? will i still make the sale? or that sale go do the other person? |

There aren't many programs that will lock in the original referrer, before a sale is made - not even the so-called lifetime customer programs.
You might like to take a look at the following threads...

...which look at the pros and cons of different affiliate cookie tracking philosphies.
Hope this helps,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."
