You can receive the AssociatePrograms.com affiliate forum via an RSS feed now. (See the blue box on the right side of this page.)

Most RSS feeds give you a headline and about three lines of text to tempt you to visit the site.

We're doing things a bit differently. You can read ALL the post in your RSS reader. Or you can click on a link and visit the forum. It's your choice.

Various RSS readers are available free. I'm using one called RssReader. A little box pops up in the bottom right-hand corner of my computer screen now and again giving me news headlines and forum headlines. It lingers for 60 seconds and then disappears. Best of all, no spam! I receive only the stuff I've subscribed to.

It's an easy way to scan new forum posts without actually visiting a site.
Then you can dive in and respond to a post (or if you're Wally the moderator, you can dive in and delete spam).

I'm not sure if we did the right thing showing the complete posts in the forum. Should we show only the first three lines?

Are you using an RSS reader? If so, is this forum RSS feed useful?

Fabulous - I'm busy from the time I get on my computer to the time I call it a day. Because of time, I'm pretty picky about my feeds and only have 4 loaded up but I just added this one.

In spite of the fact that this is an excellent forum I don't find much time to come here and surf the threads so this feed will be great.

On your question about the entire post...I vote to leave it as it is. I'm generally able to determine by the headlines from Boston.com whether I want to read the entire article.... But forum posts tend to ramble before the user gets to their point so I'd like to read the entire post before deciding to follow the thread any further.

My .02

Thanks Allan

Hi Allan,

Hope your having a great time
at the cottage by the lake Mr. Green

The weather isn't bad here in
the Shenandoah Valley
of Virginia! Cool

I've been using RSS feeds now
for about 8 to 10 weeks.
I was using mine just before the
subject hit in a big way.

I wrote an ebook on the topic.

I'll get a link to it later so
anyone can read it.
I can just upload
it to my site.

I have five RSS Readers:
RSSReader
FeedDemon
FeedReader
SharpReader
And one that is private:
PrivateMailReader

I am only using RSSReader since it is
being used by some of the top
marketers: Ken Evoy and
you, Allan Gardyne!

The PivateMailReader
is by Mark Hendricks.
He has some good stuff too.
http://www.privatemailreader.com

The full post seem OK, kind of goes
against the "Quick overview to see
if you want to know more" idea.
But it is fine Very Happy

Hey guys ,
Does anyone have an idea how much rss marketing is effective as a marketing tool at present. I read at the clickz network that though it is limited it might have a huge future in the coming few years.
