Can anyone give me information on James Martell? Does he show you how to build mini sites or good content sites? Does he teach tactics to trick (something I don't want to do) search engines?

Right now I'm registered with Site Buildit. My site is www.hikingbootguide.com

Haven't had one single visitor yet though. I'll admit that I'm not passionate about hiking boots (like site buildit reccomends), but I couldn't come up with something that I'm passionate about and that's highly profitable at the same time.

Anyone have any advice or suggestioins?

Best regards,
John

Haven't read his book, but from the table of contents and the free chapter you get from his site, you can gain much knowledge. have a look at the sites he has created and think about the linking structure.

>>Haven't had one single visitor yet though <<
Regarding traffic it takes some time ( even with SBI ) to get indexed by SEs. Your domain was registered end of October, so it is brand new and you should wait a little. In the mean time, you can start getting some quality links from directories, where DMOZ is the most important (maybe take away your adsense code until you are in, otherwise it looks like you are very hungry for money and your site will not get accepted).
Also try to get links from sites that are related to your topic.

About your passion: when researching enough, you can become kind of passionate. The more the better, but you don't have to overdo it.
Your current lack of visitors is no problem of passion but of traffic (see above).
One last thing about getting visitors and SE optimization: Your page starts with a Logo and text for the navigation butons. Try to get a brief description (smaller type, but not too small) above the Logo, so that the text gets indexed as well and is seen in the short summary the SE results page shows.
Lots of luck!

Hi John!
James Martell's Affiliate Marketer Handbook shows you how to build content sites. It is the
best manual I've read about building a content site step-by-step.
In my personal opinion it is much better then Rosalind Gardner's ebook,
but that's my personal preference.
The manual is structured like a seminar blue print. He teach you exactly
what step you should take next to build your website from scratch. He
has also included a lot of screen shots, which makes it very easy to
follow. He is also showing you how to rank your website higher in the
SEs, but no illegal tricks or fluff - only the real stuff.
I know the price tag is high, but it is worth every cent I've spent!
All the best
Dieter Kling

James describes a method of building content sites that attract free SE traffic. The method might be described as similar to SBI! - but DIY.

He has some excellent ideas re internal linking structures, but doesn't rely on tricks.

He also gives real life examples of his own - a rare thing indeed for someone in his position. (I bet he keeps the best ones quiet, but he seems much more open than most.)

Just my view,
Charlie.
