Posted: Sat Aug 26, 2006 8:55 pm Post subject: What Is The Retention Rate Of A SBI Customer and Affiliate? |
|
|
I joined the SBI affiliate program last spring with the idea I would promote it to small businesses in the area. I never got to that.
Now I am looking for a main product I can promote to help people make money online. I am strongly considering SBI because of my respect for Allan Gardyne. I know he is the #1 SBI affiliate in the world and has been for many years.
Does anyone, even Allan if you see this, know what the retention rate of a SBI customer is? Say out of 100 customers how many people renew every year.
Also from an affiliate program perspective what is your opinion of the affiliate program as a #1 program to help people make money with.
My Team-Schuman.com website is a make money website and currently gets over 400,000 visitors a year and I hope to push that to 1 Million visitors (not hits) in 2007. These are people who are looking for ways to make money. I want a product that can make a difference in people's lives as well as their income. And I do not want to go and create one of my own or re-invent the wheel so to speak. Thanks. _________________ Jeff Schuman

Hi jschuman!
I can't talk for all the other customers of SiteSell, but I've been with them for the last 3 years and I know I'll renew my subscriptions (multiple!) for as long as they keep conducting business as they have, providing me with new functions and information that really make a difference for my Internet website (and as long as I can afford it).
Just my 2 cents,
Erwin. _________________ Fighting for Customer Service Appreciation

Hi Jeff,
I?m afraid that I don?t know what the figures are but I do remember reading something of Ken Evoy?s where he said that the ?churn rate? was much lower for Site Build It! than the ?space? as a whole.
I suspect that most folks stick with SBI well beyond their first year. Sure some will give up when they find that they have to do a little work but most will stay with it when they discover that it does indeed work.
Like Erwin, I?ve been with SBI a while now and have no intention of going elsewhere. _________________ Why Do Most Affiliates Make Less Than $500 Per Month?

Thanks Larry and Erwin. I joined as an affiliate under Allan off of a post in another area.
The SiteSell affiliate program sure offers alot with the 5P program. I am looking forward to working it into my business. _________________ Jeff Schuman

Jeff
You seem to have had great succes with SBI, so doesn't that make it something worth promoting?
My experience with SBI was bad and I will not be renewing my 2 subscriptions. I feel that I got ripped off. They never rendered any service or provided any product etc. No advice, no design, no website created, no hosting provided. In fact, I never heard from them from date of payment until a few days before they sent the Expiry Notice.
The satisfaction guarantee stinks.

The promotion was buy 1 for $299 get a 2nd for $100 more, or something like that. I think they just ran or are currently running a similar Summer promotion.
That is how come I have 2.

Yes, they want to give 2 days refund of about $10.25. That is not even from the date that I complained but from a date after the discussions started.
My main irritation is that whatever you ask them or issue that you raise, never gets answered or addressed. You get the same vague not addressing anything specific form letter type response.
