Would love to hear some solid feedback ------ Is it better to use some kind of software to submit to mass quantities of directories or just hit a few big ones ? _________________ Manny C. Lourenco www.energyteam.ws

i would not rule out automated submission completely. but i have not yet seen software that can automatically select an appropriate category to go along with the automated article submission. as this is a very important part of the process, what i do instead is semi-automated submissions with Article Post Robot.
provided you monitor your submissions, one by one, there is no reason not to use automation software. that said, you might very well get 80 percent of your clicks from the best 20 percent of the article directories.
I use isnare.com paid solution and I also use article_submitter_pro

ASpro has over 900 article directories but in general I use the top 100 all of which have page rank.
If I want to rank well on a "low to moderate" keyword quickly in Yahoo & Msn you could submit to between 200 to 300 directories using the software.
Although do remember to change your anchor text during submissions... submitting sevearl different anchor texts will help increase your sites over ranking in the SE's.
On top of this I make sure all my articles are submitted to...
I also write longer articles (1500 to 2000 words)which I only submit to well know credible sites within my industry... this gives my good backlinks on high page rank sites and more importantly, good traffic.
