PHP Nuke, and similar site packages, are especially designed for content management ... which usually indicates content sites, not minisites. Also, they provide dynamic urls which can create problems in and off themselves for SE indexing. Yes, you can use it, but it would be rather self-defeating.
Why not just get a standard template and use it for your minisite? (I've seen your other posts re: templates and minisites).

Thank you
For Replying...I hope that Allen has a fast recovery...I'm one of the people that feel they have been left behind on the internet..I had my own BBS site if you remeber what they were. That was back in 1991...i would talk to local army bases through my portal...I have tryed everything since then but it always leades to nothing.
I have decided to go with a subject that my wife enjoys writing about and just create a basic ad that implements google ads on every page.
Oh, well...we'll see how it goes
Thanks

It sounds like you will be setting up a content site for you wife, not a minisite. If she will be keeping it updated, adding content regularly, it could grow quite large, so I would then classify it as a content site even though it would start small.
Adsense is great for highly targeted content sites so that monetization model should work well so long as the content is of good quality, and basic SEO practices are incorporated (not the least of which is setting up a good reciprocal linking structure).
I remember BBS's of old very well. Sometimes when you have had a successful model it is hard to let go of it and move with the times ... sometimes those old models come back in different or updated forms also. Don't be afraid to experiment, keep an open mind, and try different sites each with their own focus. Don't expect one site to be all and give all you need ... multiple sites across different topics will sustain income better in the long run.
