Wow! I like the new look, it'll take some getting used to the change but it looks sharp.
The only thing that's a little weird is when I have my favorites open, the forum gets squished and the sidebars go underneath the forum... but other than that it's great!

I had to reload the page because I thought I was somewherelse at first and had to check my faves to make sure I clicked on the right link !!! hahaha. WOW Mr G looks freeking great !!! I just love it !!!

litle contradicting views here ...
i just did not like new look at all .. its quite sharp cause eye stress .. hard to browse ...also i could not find where is control panel and how to check private messages ... i may be addicted to old looks or whatever also repating same stuff at top and left side makes forum quite narrow.

Yep, the old girl has a new dress, not just the forum, the whole site.

I like the colors. And I too had to reload and check my link. I thought I hit a spam fodder site (I manually typed in the address, so I thought I had it wrong and someone was trying to spoof you).
The three column layout doesn't leave enough for the center column. It might just take some getting used to, but it feels squished to me.
And viewing on 800x600 (using Windows XP and Firefox) I don't see the right column, and the input box gets cut off...
And at 1024x768, I still get a bit of horizontal scrolling. Just enough to trigger the scoll bar, but not enough to really hide much of your right column.

Hi Allan,
After some absence I came back to these forums yesterday and made a post, everything was comfortingly familiar.
Back again today and . . . Wham!
Just a personal opinion but I think I like the old home page better, I liked it?s simple layout. Perhaps though it is just familiarity and the new design will grow on me.
Old design, new design, whatever, this is still a great site and forum

Hi Everyone, Many thanks for all the useful feedback. It's been fun surprising people.
We're gradually squashing the little bugs.
Larry, I was fond of the old main page too. I created it in simple HTML and there was nothing else like it on the Net.
However, people kept complaining that they got lost on the old site and couldn't find their way around, that it was all too messy.
The site has thousands of pages, but many visitors just arrive at one part of it and never realise that all the rest of the site exists. Now, wherever they are on the site, they can use the tabs at the top to navigate quickly to anywhere else.
There's now a proper search facility for each section of the site, too.
