Well Blake you are right in some ways. I personally have found article writing to be an acquired skill, but some people may never become great at it.
To get the advantage of backlinks and traffic from article it doesn't have to be great though. You just have to do alot of it. And in various topics with various keywords.
Have you ever read an eBook called the "30 Minute Article Writing System" _________________ Jeff Schuman

Speaking from the publishing side, most of the people I see knocking out articles on keywords, and regularly, don't write things I would publish. There's one exception ... a woman who knows the niche so well and is such a great writer that you just have to look at what she's written, even though she writes pretty often.
The rest of the stuff coming through ezinearticles in my niche that I consider worth publishing doesn't come from the 30-minute people at all. It usually comes from a random business owner with lots of real-world experience who someone told, "you should publish articles to promote your site," and they put out one or two that are really knowledgeable before disappearing again.[/quote] _________________ - blake
