helo,
i came across free submission to thousands of FFA pages.
i have optimised my site for some keyword
and now it stands at tenth position in search results for that key word
i submitted to 8000 FFA pages with my keyword as the link text
is there at least any temporary benifit from submitting to these 8000 FFA pages?
can i expect my site to get better position now at least for a little while?
if there can be any beniefit, i will submit regulary.
thank you

Using FFA pages will have an adverse effect and ultimately damage your credibility.
There are many legitimate ways of promoting your site.

There are many great places to buy a little traffic, may I recommend in a newsletter that is related to your product. I get great results from the quality traffic that comes from a good newsletter. _________________ Joebucks

Look at this way...

I would say NO. Actually, they have adverse affect. Also at FFA, your website will be on top for a couple of days after submission and later newer websites will take the top positions and your website will slip lower. Added to that you will tons of junk email from owners of FFA as long as you have that email account. . |

This is a long post, but it will help clear up any confusion:
People are not aware of the truth about FFA pages, so they keep posting to them and use their main email address as a contact. What they don?t understand is that doing just that, is one of the WORST ways to promote your business.
If you have ever posted to FFA pages then you know that you will get hundreds of email ads sent to you after you post your ad. You might think it?s because other people posting are using your information to spam you. WRONG! Not only are people not using this info to spam you, but most people don?t even see your link. Most of the time autoresponders are the only thing that sees your link, which means that you will receive hundreds of messages in your inbox each day.
When you post your ad via an automatic ad submitter or ad submission service this means that you are posting your ad without going to a website. Everyone uses these services without actually visiting the website that the ads are on; therefore, using ad submitters defeats the whole purpose of posting the ad; which is so that someone would read it. Even if a person was to manually submit their ad to an FFA page, the possibility of that person even seeing your ad is next to none. This is because an FFA page can only hold a certain number of advertised links. Being that thousands of people post to FFA pages every minute, your link will only be on a page for a few minutes to an hour. Even if your link was on the page for a few days, an FFA page is nothing more than a page of a list of links, and you don?t have much of a chance of someone clicking on your link.
When you post to FFA pages you will receive a ?confirmation? email from the host of that site via an autoresponder. The ?confirmation? email is a fancy way of saying ?advertisement?. Keep in mind that the host of the FFA page is only one of hundreds of people that host FFA pages in the network. So yes, you will be receiving hundreds of more confirmation (advertisements) emails from others within the network. These emails are nothing more than ads from other marketers, and you agreed to receive them when you posted your ad. So what?s the point of posting? There is no point but there is a way that you can use these sites to generate hundreds of leads per day, and that is by hosting an FFA page instead of posting to one. By hosting an FFA page you can be receiving the email address of the hundreds of people that post to your FFA page.
This concept is called reverse marketing and it is one way to get a spam free ad out to others. The emails are not spam because everyone that posted to your FFA page agreed to receive a confirmation email from you. This agreement is mandatory before they are able to post to your FFA page. You do not even have to promote your FFA page because when you join an FFA hosting company, you become apart of the FFA company?s network. The automatic ad submitters are linked to all FFA companies (even the smaller companies); all of the FFA pages in that network will receive ad posts from the thousands of people that post their ad each day.
If you expect this strategy to work, then you must set a delay for your message to be sent out. Setting a delay is very important! Here is how it works: Let's say that someone posts to my FFA page, and I want to send them a confirmation email. It is very important that they don?t receive that email from you for at least 4 days. The reason is because within the first 3 days everyone else in the network will be sending them their confirmation emails which results in this person receiving hundreds of emails a day. You already know that most people will not go through hundreds of emails, so they will just delete them. If you do not want your email to be deleted, then you must wait, because by the 4th day, there will not be so many emails sent to that person. This means that the chances of that person seeing your email is greater. Now just because that person has seen your email does not mean that they will open it, which is why you must right a interesting subject line so that your email will be read. Then you must write a good email ad copy so that the person will want to visit your website or subscribe to your autoresponder.
Now with all that said, I DO NOT use this strategy anymore because it is nothing but a big game that is time consuming and produces little results. Also there are many problems associated with hosting an FFA page and I will tell you about one of them. Above when I said how people that post to FFA pages start receiving hundreds of emails a day I was not exaggerating. I have experienced this before and I was one of the lucky ones that figured out why. Imagine how many people are not aware of the fact that they are receiving so many emails because they posted to FFA pages. When you post to any FFA page, they tell you that you will receive confirmation emails, but it doesn?t dawn on people that they will be receiving so many. The people who get frustrated from this will start reporting the confirmation emails as spam to their ISPs (Internet Service Provider). Emails coming from you to your FFA leads might eventually be reported as spam and your email address might wind up on a blacklist (This is one of the reasons why I do not use Kiosk web hosting service anymore- They are on many ISP blacklists)
Sorry for the long post, but I hope this helps. _________________ Here's how to receive the internet's only complete internet marketing solution-website hosting, multiple autoresponder system, ad tracking, affiliate management software- all in one for one low price: http://www.theultimatemarketingcenter.com |
