If you acquire too many links too fast, it can cause problems with Google. They can worry if things don't look natural. (It doesn't seem to matter as much with the other engines.)

Secondly, with Google, a few good links, from different places, is often more than half the battle. Basically, I wouldn't take them up on the offer of all those links.

Hope this helps,
Charlie.

Thanks for your advice. It is better for us to trade links from websites related to travel/tourism or have travel directories. Could you advise how many links with websites have page ranks of 6,7 and 8 we should buy to make my websites's rank better. Now my index page has rank 3.

Can you recommend us where to trade links with websites related to travel/tourism.

thanks for all your help

Have a good look around here. There's lots of opinions on linking strategies.

You certainly don't have to buy links. Can you think of ways to get people to want to link to you?

Cheers,
Charlie.

Hello Charlie,

Link exchanges or link submission are optional ways to get rank higher but No high rank websites (from 5 to 7 PR) want to exchange links with low ranking websites like mine. It will be great if you show us how to do. I will invite you to drink beer as much as you can when you travel to Vietnam (Not kidding) Smile Very Happy Some people say that we's rather spending $ to drink beer than buy links or softwares.

I have bought Arelis from Alexandra. Anyone know how to take advantages of using it to promote websites. We only know few basic steps. I am Vietnamese people so it is hard for me to express all information in English. I do hope everyone can make sense of what I explained and help me..

Tommy

I'd say the emphasis should be on "can" and "natural."

Getting a bunch of links quickly and "naturally" is perfectly fine; you'll see this all the time with sites mentioned in the media.

Either way, slow and steady will be more effective then short bursts of activity here and there.

Leave a bit of emphasis for "look", "seem" and "appear", too. Wink

Cheers,
Charlie.

dear vietnamluxurytravel.
Th eimportant thing people forget when they look for traffic or higher PR is the optimization of their website.
before look for traffic or PR, should optimize your website,
-make your content rich
-easy nafigation
-more text links
-no much graphic (only if necessary)
-Put effective keywords, and good description
-post articles to make people know about your business
-build links (this is the hard work)
I checked your website, the keywords are many, and the description is long. this is make it difficult for the search engine to pick up the Website pages, when your description is long and your keywords, the searcj engine get tired and bored (I sue only the word to explain) to read all words and all description, so they leave.
-make fresh content, change the content or change the look of the website few months,
-avoid the link exchange farms: Are not search engine friends.
-pay per click and put ads on google adword.
All tips above are online, and you should also work offline.

Good Luck

I am not a pessimist. But 20,000 links within one month Shocked

Technically it is possible. But for Google such an unexpected growth of links will look very strange. They are super suspicious about big number of links coming all of a sudden.

Plus don't forget that each link is your business partner - online business partner. Are you sure that all 10,000 will be relevant to your site? If no - Google looks on relevancy of links too now.

Continually add great content to your site and people will link naturally.

Use Arelis sparingly.

The rest of the advice on this thread is VERY good too.

You need gradual links coming to your site each month. If you get a whopping 20k in one-shot, you'll probably be doing more harm than good. The reason being you need to maintain a similar level of incoming links each month. If you can't, Google algos will become suspicious (that's the theory). Also, it could be a link farm... bad news. So, I would be weary of it.

Also, keep in mind the RELEVANCY of links is also important. You want links from similar sites. Check out Free Links Direct for a service that will help build one-way relevant links for you. I also have some useful articles you can read up on (especially the one on Black Hate Marketting).
