The best way to do it is not to do it. Use a template. You can find some great, professional templates here. I don't own this site, I'm not affiliate with this site, but I've used their templates many, many times.

I think a llot of sites actually give all this for free, so you do not need to pay. Like the webstore link on my signature does. Here, you can choose a template(which is recommended - since they are more visitor friendly), edit it to your choice, send newsletters, manage emails with customers;all free..so maybe you can try it. _________________ Andy

SEO (search engine optimization), PPC (pay-per-click) programs and AM (affiliate marketing) is the answer!

That's a HUGE subject. Whole books have been written on it. You could start by exploring this forum and the rest of the site for ideas. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Why do we need attractive web site? Many people must think that that would attract people. However, there are quite a few hidden problems with attractive sites, especially for those with lots of beautiful graphics/pictures.
Nowaday, people hop up the Net mostly are looking for information. Surely, attractive sites must get most attention. However, there are trade off in that people may not have enough patient to wait for downloading of all the pics in order to see the whole page. Impatient people would simple quit your site and search for somewhere else.
So, bear in mind that, "speed" is a critical issue for a site to be loaded to the viewer.
Indeed the most effective way for any web site design is to keep everything SIMPLE. People are looking for information, that's why it has been said everywhere that "Content is King".
To recap, make the pages straight-forward and look neat, simple to navigate throughtout.

Well most e-commerce sites use a database so you need to work with one of those, a scripting language to retreive from that database. You have the front which is a web site which would be like graphic design and then you have to market your site. So an e-commerce is three tiers first the client, theuser interface which is a web site on a web server, and a database that runs on a database server. I can't believe there are free places that give you all that. It really is alot of work to build then market yourself need to find someplace to do it for you. None of it would do any good unless you market it and are able to sell the products. _________________ Make Money On-line at TheCashRoom! You make some very good points. Speed really is VERY important. Though I do have to disagree slightly on your perspective. Professional design with the pretty UI is still very important. Indeed most people are lookiing for information, but when it comes to people spending money you need to have a well designed site that people will trust. From my experience, I never would purchase anything from a site that looks very amateur. Why? Becuase I have no trust in a site like that. If the site looks professional, is very clean, and easy to navigate then I feel much more comfortbale giving out my personal info. I think the vast majority of people (especailly the non IT users) would feel the same. _________________ Avalon

Yeah, quite agree to the word "Professional" look. In additional, what I further prefer is "precise". Nowaday, everything moving fast. I think a web site should always give info precisely. Take examples of Yahoo, Google, ...etc. they have little fancy graphic designs but to the point for everything, almost. Nevertheless, I agree that the overall design of a web site should also be according to its product/service nature and the style it wants to be.
