yes its normal most affiliates donot make anything for first few months when they start . you will learn a lot with time ...

No , its not normal.
you must learn some basic steps to get more revenue from adsense.
There are some basic methods for internet marketing. These includes :
1. Article Writing
2. Forum Posting
3. Search Engine Optimization
4. Blogging
5. Press Releases
6. Networking
7. Free eBooks and Reports
If you can learn these much things you must get good revenue. So knowledge is power. Get knowledge as much as you can get.

Earning $3.30 might be normal for a newbie but it can be much, much better. There are several things that you can do to improve this. First, it's important to have good high paying keywords that are relevant to your site. Then you have to study your ad placement, colors, and sizes. Test these on different pages and see what gets better click thru rates. Then you have to drive traffic to your site to get click thrus. There are many things you can do to improve your adsense income. The most important thing is to get educated on how adsense works.

it took me about a year of research and testing before i started making real money .
Most of my time was spent on keyword optimization for search engines . I found that getting links to your site is pretty easy but knowing your keywords and how to write articles using these keywords to rank high in se is a challenge .
Ranking well in search engines for the right keywords is the key to success, unless you are using ppc .
