Actually I think you can do it with two links on one download page. That way they can choose the one they prefer at that time. Could save you on having to create extra pages, or make them choose prior to purchase.
Another thing to consider if you do 2 links on one page, is they can view it their favorite way, but choose PDF for printing, or vice versa, if they like. May make them think they are getting a heck of a deal (2 for 1 lol). _________________ Learn how to turn keyphrases into quality, well-targeted articles your visitors and SE's will love with Gary Antosh's new ebook "Web Content Made Easy!" |

Good ideas, Debs !
I may put a PDF-link in the EXE version and vice versa, or just deliver both versions as default, or whatever. I Have to think this through. Also have to check the possibilities that ClickBank has to offer.
My next book will be about primary keys in databases. I have to find a locksmith with real old-fashioned keys, take a picture of it, and that will be the next cover... |

DatabaseDesigner,
One thing to keep in mind at Clickbank. If you are plan on having "others" sell your eBooks... selling multiple items from one clickbank account is a pain. The "hoplink" created sends you to a landing page. Your customer must then move on to the ebook choice... this can have an effect on sales.
Secondly, on your eBook ideas. I like the PDF idea more than the EXE. I understand that you have the EXE program. As someone that likes to "carry my reference work with me" I like the ability of burning a CD with references on it if I travel. I have about 60 eBooks on one CD that I keep adding to. When I head off for a few days I usually go back and review one. All I need is a PDF reader which I burn on to the CD. EXE are not so easy to use. Plus the installation routine. Don't forget that part.
Just my 2 cents, _________________ Gary

Thanks, speedguide !
Yes, the PDF option has to be carried out, I see that. The book is in the making; I haven't tested out the delivery side yet. So far I thought it was just a distribution of one .exe file. Have to check more.
I'm glad you all participate we me in this project/thread. It may be a learning experience for others who are thinking about writing eBooks. Very exiting, this. One more pleasant thing: My site has now been up for a short week. I have had more than hundred unique visitors, hundreds of page views, and just the last 18 hours I have received 5 subscribers, from Canada, from India.... I don't exist in search engines yet. Hm.. (some of those visitors must come from you good folks here It has kind of inspired me. But the stuff I'm writing about requires som thinking, so progress is lacking. Think I must pull myself together and write another chapter tonight. I really want to finish the book so I could start with the next one. |
