Alright, well I'm planning on building a mini-site to promote a product. BUT there are 2 products that I could promote, both with similar payouts. The problem is, one program is alot better than the other in content. But the other one is still good, but has better quality ( videos, images, design, etc ) The problem is that, in my opinion, site #2 would convert ALOT better than site #1 because site #1 offers alot of what it has in it's membership site for free so people aren't as focused on buying when they go on that particular merchants page.

So I'm torn between site #1 wich would help my visitors alot more if they buy the product, but most likely won't. Or site #2 wich is still a good program, but will convert alot more.

Your toughts?

In the long run...to win trust as an affiliate marketer, always promote the superior product(s). People will come to trust you and your future will be more successful.

Yeah, I stick to that philosophy usually...I think I'm just going to email the first merchant because I went to the site and noticed that the fact that he offers alot of free info might not be the problem, but that the site's copy might be the thing that's holding conversion back. So I'm going to email them and suggest a few changes, maybe they'll listen. They're usually nice guys so Very Happy

You could experiment, telling your readers about BOTH products, describing their good and bad points, and then say which one you recommend.
