Post subject: Click Bank hates me!

Hi everyone,
I am new to this board, and i jumped into this topic right away because it has caused me frustration for a long time.
I am a non-us resident (Malaysia) and i have tried buying products from Click Bank, namely GoogleCash, AdWords Analyzer, and a few more.
However, there seems to be a bug that stops me from purchasing with my credit card. I really dont understand why, since my card is clean and my country is listed.
Worst of all i have contacted them a few times but therer seems to be no help. Is there anyone at their support team at all?
If anyone have had similar experience, please help me, becasue this is really stopping my progress. And no, i cannot use PayPal, the so called "international" payment method.
Help please....... _________________ The Definitive Guide To Using Wordpress for Adsense

Hi Gobala
I think the problem may be that they are checking the billing address for the credit cards. They do this using a postcode, and they are only slowly getting non US and Canada post codes into the system. Some European countries are working, but by no means all, and I suspect that it will be some time before Malaysian postcodes get entered into the database. Some sites have put wording like "Only US and Canada credits cards accepted" on their sites, and we have been advised to use some suitable wording by one of the sites we affiliate with because they say that they will not accept credit cards from most countries because of this.

Thanks.. So far thats the best explanation I got. It's really tough for international affiliates i guess because i cannot use ClickBank, paypal, stormpay, etc. I hope things change soon. _________________ The Definitive Guide To Using Wordpress for Adsense

ClickBank will not clear a payment even if your card is US, your bank is US, and your billing address is US, if you "log in too far" from your billing address. So if you own a US corporation and are overseas, kiss goodbye ClickBank as a method of payment also. _________________ There's a million things to do, you know that there are.... |

Yep, they reject a lot of credit cards, especially from overseas. If you really want to buy something thru them anyway, try this. Email the merchant and ask if they will accept an international money order in US dollars. Americans can deposit those in their bank accounts with no fees. (I don't know what the fees are for the purchaser, but assume they vary by country.)
If the merchant has a brain, they will say yes to this. Then mail the money order with your info, especially your email address, and they can email the product or download info to you. I've done this with a couple of customers in your situation. Who knows how many more there are who didn't contact me about their card being rejected. _________________ Have you seen this bonus offer? |

Great information you guys! I never realized in this day of the kind of technology that we have, that anything like this could be a real problem! I wonder how other international bizzes handle this problem??? Maybe a question to ask other companies in your country, Gobala. There must be others experiencing this problem? Or how about asking your own bank? They may have some suggestions. _________________ "All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you." Gandalf, LOTR:FOTR |
