Post subject: Adsense - matching content or hyperlinks?

I'm in the process of creating a huge website, and upon advice I'd read somewhere, I started putting in adsense ads on some of the pages, matching and contrasting the ad colours with the colours of my site - very pretty.
Then, I had a break - did a search on the million dollar adsense guy, and he advises matching the adsense colours with the colours of your hyperlinks? I'm only part way thru so considering trying a mixture. Which have you had most success with - matching adsense to your links, or your website colours - or anything else? Thanks.

Honestly, I've seen different tactics work differently on each of my sites. My advice is to test things out on your own over time, just don't pick one method and run with it.
