you want track how many read the article(s) or how many clicked on the urls in the articles that lead to another website?

May be I will ask in different way...

You want to know how many people read the articles or you want to know how many people clicked the links in articles?

To be honest you might need a customized version of article software to acheive second part. Any article software can tell you how many people read the articles by showing something like 'Article viewed 110 times' etc.

So basically you want to know how many people are clicking on the links in your articles? You would just have to use an ad tracking program.
