I've been signed up with Linkshare since April of 2005, and as of today haven't made a dime. They seem to have some good brands and products, but I'm becoming suspicious. Sad Is anyone out there making money with them? Perhaps, I'm limiting myself by only working with one company (Forzieri.com) from Linkshare. Whatdya think?

hello i have signed up with them from one and half year ... but i never promoted them reason is most offers are pay per sale there .. however i think payperlead convert well ... however some of my friends got check from linkshare ... the only problem is if your check lost in mail you have to wait 6 months to get it reissued (i read it in forum)/..... there tracking is fine .. but you must choose another merchant if existing one is not working for you
good luck..

I am an affiliate of Linkshare and I have had over 5 checks from them. They pay and they pay on time, every time.

They are one of the larger networks with many top merchants listed there.

It is hard to produce sales online no matter, which network you us.

I have made many sales with them.

Well, I just found out from Forzieri (my primary Linkshare merchant) that their average conversion is 1 sale out of every 360 click-throughs. I haven't been getting that many, so therein lies my problem...

I've been using Linkshare for a long time and one of the advertisers does very well for me, CarsDirect. Others have not.

My complaint is that they don't have as many advertisers to choose from (compared to CJ, which I also use). And their reporting system really stinks. It's almost impossilbe to reconcile monthly earnings reports with paycheck amounts. They've just started trying a new beta reporting system which is even worse than the original.

From my personal experience as a Merchant and an affiliate CJ outright beats Linkshare in many levels - Reporting, Messeging, transaction reporting, correction tools, promotion tools, and support.

Linkshare requires exclusivity for merchants, therefore if you want to advertise for the merchant you either have to use CJ or Linkshare, not both.

are you offering the right products? You might not be sending them targetted traffic. What you choose to promote should depend on the content of your site. There are tons of different affiliate programs out there and they all offer different products. you may have to switch networks.

I use Linkshare and I don't like them very much. I have Wal-Mart and Target as two of my merchants with them and I can't even get click-throughs with them. I hate looking for merchants with Linkshare. Sometimes I come across a company I would like to promote. They say they are a member of Linkshare and yet I cannot find them anywhere.

I use about a dozen different affiliate programs. I wouldn't limit myself to one, certainly not just one merchant.
