I'm signing up with CJ for the very first time and filling out the application. When it came to my website discription, I have to say I was honestly unprepared so I stop and cancelled the app. for now. My situation is this. I've started the site but as of yet have not joined any affiliate programs so I just did an outline structure to the site with examples of what I plan on working withand plastered on the pages "under construction". Most of the affiliate agreements say they won't allow their name to be mentioned until you become an affiliate but yet they want to see what your site is about. Hum? catch 22... Well back to CJ. How critical is the discription of your site when first applying? Should I sit down and build it to what it is or what it will be? Help!

Yes, you need to have a live and relatively complete site to get approval for programs like CJ, Linkshare and such. Notice I said relatively Smile Build a few pages, with content relative to your topic, then apply.

If you build at least one page, then apply, you should be able to be approved by the merchants that accept open enrollments. Unfortunately, I am not sure how to tell who has open enrollment and who requires reviewed approval.
