Trying to launch our new product and am using Miva Merchant as the Cart, and affiliate software. Anybody happy/unhappy with the way Miva tracks?? Anyone have suggestions as to how I can make my affiliate program more enticing ? www.dial2email.com/resellers
(New to affiliates, but have been hosting since 95).
Thanks for any help, really appreciate it, and will help if I can.
On the page you listed above, it says "fill out this form" without your having provided the details. This doesn't tell me about the program, and if you don't provide the details then I won't bother clicking through to the form. Maybe if you change it to "find out more about our affiliate program" you might get more people clicking through and actually signing up.
You have some typos on the affiliate information/signup page. Confidence in your company and your affiliate program is paramount if you want to get affiliates, typos do not inspire confidence.
I think you also need to give more information on when they would be paid, and how, as well as how the tracking is done, can they view tracking during the month, etc.
Check out the affiliate info pages for some of the more popular products/stores ... the ones where you see affiliate banners everywhere and make note of what information they provide to potential affiliates before they've signed up.
Hope this helps,

Thanks for helping us out there. I mentioned we are using Miva Merchant as our E-commerce and affiliate program. I already see that they don't supply any tracking info for the affiliates . What is the general feeling of "My Affiliate Program" software? I want affiliates to feel comfortable working with us, and want to use software that can accomplish that.
Thanks again,
Randy
I think the professionalism of you and you company, timely payments, lots of information about the program, and a commitment from your company to support the program and affiliates go much farther than what affiliate program you use.
Frequent and timely payments, regular contact with your affiliates, and a way for them to contact you, are factors I look for in selecting a merchant to promote.

I've been using My Affiliate Program for two years (clubmom.com), and I've been extremely happy with it. Recently, they upgraded to version 8, and it's a slick interface with all of the tools I need.
If the main MyAP product is out of your range, take a look at their new, lower cost version - www.affiliateclicks.com
That's just $200 to setup and $25 a month. And if/when you're ready to upgrade, it's easy to move up to their main MyAP product.
I just signed on for Affiliate Clicks for a side business (gemfina.com), and I will be implementing it this weekend. The process to get signed up is quick and easy and they processed everything and had me ready to implement in 24 hours. _________________ Shawn Collins
