You know, when someone refers to "spam emails" from a list they admit they signed up for, then goes on to slam a product they've not seen, that pretty much kills any credibility they may have had.
What's up with all the whining? If you don't want something, don't buy it, but I smell some sour grapes.
And if 500 sales of a $997 product in a day is not impressive, please post YOUR sales stats so we can see what real success is. That's probably more than you've made in your lifetime. _________________ Have you seen this bonus offer? |

Hi Gang!
Glenn here, new to the forum, older to the game-
I see a lot of Warriors here- Yah Hey Dere!
MF and BM. Hmmmmm. Cody Moya. Hmmmmm. I'm with what seems to be the majority here. I don't think I could read another Guru pitch on this without spewing
Have you ever bought a used car? That's what the tactics remind me of. Not surprising, Hmmm? Hammer to the face tacky. You have to compare the different marketing styles of all the top guns to get a feeling for what I am talking about. Just look at:
Allan's style: Heeeeeyyyy man, it's nice here at the beeeaaach. Where's my drink?
LOVE IT.
Willie Crawford: We just folks here, c'mon in and set a while! Like some cookies?
LOVE IT.
Cody: You buy! I give you everything! Kitchen Sink, too! We make JV. Lot money!
LOL
Mike: YOU BUY THIS FREAKIN' CAR OR ELSE, CHUMP! OR YOU'RE A LOSER! MOOAAHAHAHAHAHAH!
OUCH
LOL

Hi Glenn, Welcome!
I loved your style comparisons.
UPDATE: Mike has now had over 800 sales at $997 each in the first 2 days.
That's impressive.
Now I must get back to the beach. _________________ Allan Gardyne

really I thought I saw he crossed 1000 ... at warrior forums... or somewhere elese..
hey Flyer you know I checked the whole thread... nobody who signed up for a lists called it spam here...everyone's whinning about how many emails they are getting...
may be u r in wrong forum buddy...
as far as selling 500 pieces at 997 is concerned.. I never sold a thing... never made that kind of money... max is 100+ or more a day... but man if you are stuck to 500X97.. that's all you can achieve... I am going far beyond that my man...
I have my feet grounded properly... and sky is at my reach...

Thanks Allan-
I thought you'd get a kick out of that
I saw the 800 copy mark- MF sent me the 700th email on the subject about 1/2 hr ago! Impressive indeed. Maybe now he'll RETIRE and turn his list over to ME.

Some ideas about how to use newsletters:
What I usually do is subscribe to them, put a filter on my Inbox to forward them to my "SpamBox", then about once every two weeks I scan through them.
If I find any that are worthy of my attention, the author get's his filter removed and I read them whenever they come in. The rest... well they stay in the spambox under different categories, especially the salesletters.
Why? So that one day when I have something worthwhile to sell I can pick up on good and bad tips. Think of it as a copywriter's swipe file.
Regards,
Chris |

I can, to a certain extent, agree with the fact that the culmination of buzz was too much for many people. It was for me.
I wouldn't be surprised if lessons are learned from this launch regarding that aspect.
But ...
some reactions in this thread are rediculous.
| Quote: | | Over 100 emails I received in the past 4 days all blabbering about Butterfly Marketing. Disgusting. |
If you were really serious about making money online, you would have had 100 messages and headlines for your swipe file! Then you would create your own product and with that generate your own 'big payday' using the stuff that works.
| Quote: | To all of you, may fortune smile at you and bring success with your affiliate marketing.
"Butterfly Marketing is what, ...an EBOOK!" |
Emotions, nothing but emotions. And they smell like jealousy.
Get the facts, study and practice them. If you don't like the buzz-factor, leave it out. Use the other one's. There are plenty.
| Quote: | | I have this to say; PROOF IT, PROOF IT, PROOF IT. |
My guess is Mike will sell all 1500 packages using his own methods.
Now let's see, 1500 times $1000 is eh ....

Prove it! File a complaint!
Next time try to turn something that you don't like into something positive without venting your frustrations.
These guys know how to do business online.
If you don't like some of their strategies, don't use them.
Otherwise it's good tactics to at least study them.
Just some good advice.

Looks like Mike has created the "Traffic Secrets" for 2006. It was the same buzz, and -if I remember correctly- also the same price.
To add my 2 cents:
I think it's an ebook about viral marketing and a software to create a viral membership site. At least that's what I pulled out of the lengthy sales letter.
I sort of envy him for the 500 thousand-buck-sales in 5 hours. And they say that envy is a very honest way of honoring someone's work. But pulling off such a sales show and actually making a ton of money is something that deserves respect.
...even though I would never spend a thousand dollars for a piece of software and an ebook myself. _________________ Get Instant Payday Formula. The Sales letter is all hype and it has "instant" in the title, but it's finally a product that really delivers. |

500 times $997...! If only I could do that.

I got the first Chapter of this - if you scroll right down to the bottom of his website, you can get a free chapter - so he can get you on his mailing list. I haven't read it yet - but I will be surprised and pleased if there's anything new in there.
Does anyone really believe he's only going to sell 1500 of these. I know that's quite a bit of cash - but if you had a product that was selling so quickly - would you stop at 1500? _________________ Richer Brat

It depends on how much he values his credibility. I would say, "yes he'll stop" This way the next product that he launches will go even quicker. |

Good point Chris - there has to be another product. But the smart marketer will use the same info for various products only differently. Maybe he'll bring out a condensed version for those of us who don't want to fork out almost $1000. I'm not buying into this one, but i love signing up for the freebies to see how these products are marketed. _________________ Richer Brat

I know what you mean. My "email marketing swipe file" is at 1300 emails and counting Aproximately 98% of these email newsletters are just sales offers. Most end up in my SpamBox for further analysis at a later date (which should be any day now... my product is almost complete) and then I am going to have to actually read them to get some good copy!
BM blew me out of the water onto dry land this time, I am just waiting for the storm to pass and hear the news later. There was just too much hype around this thing. With so little information about what it is EXACTLY, it turned me off completely after the 5th message I got on it. Everyone was rushing to throw in all kinds of bonuses to give you (I don't blame them the commission on $997 must be pretty good )
If you have a look at all the bonuses on offer, they alone are enough to keep you busy for a year or two...
I see that someone has already started up their own BM spinoff called "caterpillar marketing"... Don't misunderstand me, I am not passing judgement on BM, but for every butterfly there is bound to be a worm (pardon the pun). |

Nope, expect the price to go up, since $997 is underpriced for what's included.
> I think it's an ebook about viral marketing and a software to create a viral membership site.
There is no ebook. Did you miss the part about it being a physical product?
> With so little information about what it is EXACTLY, it turned me off completely after the 5th message I got on it.
There was plenty of info out there for those who bothered to pay attention, but then if you have all your mail going to a folder you ignore, I can see why you missed that. _________________ Have you seen this bonus offer? |

Hi Flyer. Did you try out the course? Is it good stuff? Are there a lot of new marketing ideas in it? How much study time is in it - and is most of it practical stuff that you can apply directly to your own business development?
The price is low in comparison to some. The E Myth mentorship program is roughly the same price - every month for a year. All for doing a distance learning course - and speaking to someone on the phone for an hour a week!
A lot of these companies are offering mentorship programmes now - i wonder if BM will go this way? _________________ Richer Brat
