I joined a merchan't affiliate program through linkshare and I managed to make some beautiful sales. But boy what a surprise I had when I started to receive the checques.

For october, my comission was of almost 600$. But the check failed to arrive when it was supposed to. I thought it was the postal service, so I didn't worry much.

A month passes and no sign of a check. I receive the check for november for which my comission was of over 200$, but to my surprise the check is worthg only 40 dollars.

I checked with synergy analitics and this was the exact amount that was sent. Weird Confused .

Today I checked with synergy analytics the status of the check for december ( for which I have a comission of about 180$) and what I see is that they've just sent a check of only 112$. How's that for a deal...

I sent LinkShare and the merchant a couple of emails asking what was going on and I got no reply to this day.

Has anybody here went through a similar problem and how was it solved? Will the remaining money eventually be sent sometime in the future?

I saw Allan in his latest newsletter recomennded a service that almost guarantees you'll get your comission (1/2 split with this service provider), but I wouldn't want to risk being kicked out from this program for good.

LinkShare is a big serious company, but these incidents and basically no customer support make me think..

Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Thanks

Eugen,

I feel for your problem, and honestly don't understand how this happens to so many people. One of the top priorities of affiliate networks should be to accurately pay their affiliates in a timely fashion.

This may sound like a simple suggestion-but do you have an account rep from Linkshare at all? If so, I would definitely suggest calling them if you can. If you don't have a specific rep, perhaps try calling Linkshare and getting through to someone, anyone. Make sure to express your frustration and disappointment. Remember-you are the one who makes them money Smile.

You will always get more done on the phone quicker and better than through email. Just a thought Smile.

Thank you Lauren.

I just sent the merchant another email, this time through the contact form on their site. If they don't reply now I'll give them a call. They should solve the problem this way. If not, I'll call big brother LinkShare Razz .

I don't even know who's guilty here, the merchant or the affiliate network. but I have a feeling that I'll find out soon.

I have earn't over 1,000 from Linkshare. I earn't it over a 3 month period and have not earn't any money since. Well they paid me money using about 5 - 7 cheques. Instead of getting a check per month, I was getting alot more cheques in smaller amounts.

This didn't worry me to much as I can cash all of my checks in the UK for just a ?5 fee. I don't pay per check, which I like.

But some other people have to pay per check so this is a little bad really.

Why don't they just send you one check a month.

I finally managed to reach them by email. A person from customer support got my email and forwarded it to the affiliate manager. She sent me a commission report for Oct-Dec. It seems there were some duplicate, quadruplicate and invalid orders. Confused

The checks they sent me had the correct amount on them. I'm waiting now for another email with some clarifications. They send the checks with a 60 days delay, so the $40 check was actually for October.

I just wish there was a way to find out on LinkShare if the orders that were placed were actually valid, before the check arrives and without emailing the support team.
