Post subject: What is the best affiliate program to send to mailing list?
|
|
|
I have 150 people mailing list from people I sold ebooks to on ebay. I have not sent to them yet. I would like to know what would be the most profitable way of making money from this list. Should I sent them info on a great affiliate program or should I try to get them to sign up for a newsletter. _________________ "Dotcomology" is The Science of Making Money Online! From what I have read it doesn't sound like they have opted into receiving an email or newsletter. As such it is considered spam. I would avoid sending unsolicited emails otherwise run the risk of being branded a spammer. _________________ Declan O'Reilly

hey just ask for simple testimonials
just say,
Hi X,
I m the guy who sold u YZABC book on ebook.. I wanted to know if you liked my stuff? wat's your opinion on this... etc etc etc...
Toddl
If you wanna sweeten the deal... just send some bonus items after they write ur testimonials... plus pitch your newsletter.

That is what is known as soliciting. I would be very careful. Some people might deem this as spam and report it. _________________ Declan O'Reilly

Yes it can happen... normally if you are selling stuff on ebay, you should do this the very second you sell...I made some decent sales on ebay india(bazee). but I ran out of things to sell...
the main thing is be nice and cool about it... even if you say to them that you are trying to build reputation on internet and want their help or testimonial etc etc. You'll find more good people than some who'll bitch about ur email.

If you get past those challenges, the product to promote would be one that's similar in subject matter to the one they bought from you.
Or perhaps you could persuade them to sign up for a free course which gives useful info and gently promotes a product. _________________ Allan Gardyne

I would only send them one email... ask them to opt-in to a different email newsletter that you can market to.
This gives you a boost to your newsletter to start. And it lets anyone who doesn't want email to opt-out.
Generally, one or maybe two emails that you didn't ask for (assuming them come from a company you bought something from) won't be construed as spam.
If you start mailing them constantly, they might get upset. _________________ Eric D. Burdo

At this initial stage I would concentrate on building relationship with the members of the list rather than trying to sell something. And try to contact them wth some regularity, say at least once a week. You could offer useful information, free ebooks or useful software and get them to respond to you on personal basis. After there is enough trust the list will become profitable.
