Is there a google adwords alternative that accepts gambling as a keyword and that is relatively cheap? Or maybe there is a way around it without impacting on my targeted traffic without using irrelevent keywords?

I used Google AdWords Keyword Tool at

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordSandbox

and got these additional keywords:

sportsbook
casinos
craps
addictions
gambler
betting
gamblers

Perhaps you can consider looking further on these keywords.
