[First, I apologize if this is in the wrong area of the forum]

Hello All,

I've been somewhat lurking in the shadows peeking at
what's been going on and I must say I'm rather impressed
with a lot of responses and assistance that everyone
offers.

I normally don't post to forums that often, unless someone
hasn't received a response to help needed, otherwise I'm
quite. Anyway....

I've been out of the affiliate/marketing scene for sometime
and finally able to get back into action. After several months
of working on a site, it's ready to go Live and I am seeking
any and all opinions on it (Good and/or Bad).

I'm more of an "old school" type of marketer and believe
the more simple the site, the better... but I would like to
get it well rounded with aspects I may have missed while
I wasn't around.

The site is http://www.Cashline39.com

Any input is GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you all in advance for your time and consideration.

Hi James,

I've taken a look at your site, but it has a "hype" look and feel. From your site, it's unclear what your product actually is...

It's obviously a plan of some sort, where you can "effortlessly" make money. IMHO, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Confused

You'll have to make clear more what the product entails, and build credibility. I think, your site does neither (sorry).

Just my $0.02.

Regards,

Erwin.

Hi Erwin,

Thanks for your feedback, every bit of it is helpful.

I do see what you're talking about, I'm somewhat
bias since I've eyeballed it for so long... it definitely
helps!

Thanks again, have a great day.

I've been in with affiliate marketing for just over 1 year now and believe me, things have improved!

When I first started out I found that it was near impossible to reach the minimum amounts of $50, $100, $500, etc.

But recently I have found that affiliate programs minimum payouts are improving alot.

There are a lot more affiliate programs out there now that offer no minimum payouts, and I'm not just talking about GPF programs.

The biggest area that I have found improvement in, is pay per click search engines as there is becoming a lot more on the web, meaning more competition.

Most pay per click search engines need affiliates to survive.

I also see what you mean when building a site! I had built my site from scrach with no one else's opinions.

When you build it with no one else's opinions, you start getting use to it's looks and feel. When someone comments about something on your site like the color, it is hard to change it! You just want to keep it as it was.

But, then I guess it's best to take everyones opinions on board.

I think most people get very personal about defending their own websites. Although I know the importance of asking the opinions of others, deep down I don't like to.

Judging by the reaction I've got when I've "offered to my opinion" to others (not on this forum), I am not the only one. Sometimes the bigger names have the thinnest skins. Wink

Having said that, maybe there's a difference between responding to a request for feedback and offering "unsolicited feedback"! Laughing

I guess it's a matter of distinguishing "less informed opinion" from good advice written from outside the forest. The closer you get to the centre, the harder it becomes to see the wood for the trees. You can get too obsessed with polishing your axe, to notice which way the tree will fall.

All the best,
Charlie.

P.S. What's the difference between a metaphor and an egg?

Answer: You can't beat a metaphor. Wink

Thanks john2698 and Charlie,

I agree, all valid points... which is the main reason I brought it
out in the open.

Charlie, I see you do enjoy metaphors, nice "different" insight you
provided I might add!

Good or bad... I really don't mind, it all helps in the end.

Thanks for the feedback!

I think the site is simple and would work well..it's just the point needs to get across in the first few seconds of someone looking at it or it is a lost chance for a sale. I think working on getting a point across in the first few lines would make this site a hit! Cool

When I looked at it...the first few seconds I got this feeling that someone was trying to tell me I was going to be rich...someday in the future hehe...
Felt like I was dealing with a fortune teller Cool

I just think some rewording and you would have a great site! Cool

I think this forum's strength lies in it's potential to help us think for ourselves ( Idea ) as much as help us be spoon fed by others. If this is the case, different approaches work for different people. Humour, shock, and confrontation can work as well as good old fashioned help, in this regard, I reckon.

Besides, it's more interesting, too. Wink

Thanks for the tact, by the way. I promise to try not to mention axes and forests for another few days.

Whether you really mean it, who knows, but it's nice when people (like you) are brave enough to ask for criticism and then actually take it on the chin without whinging.

At least not in public! Laughing

Just my opinion,
Charlie.

Thank you Gamezing,

I'm working on trying to get the "gist" of everything better. Yours
is different perspective that helps!

Seriously Charlie, I meant what I said. This type of feedback is what I
ask for and hope to receive. It doesn't help if everyone is nice and says
"Great job" because they are trying to avoid hurting someone's feelings...
when in reality it may really suck!

Thank you ALL for the input so far.

I couldn't agree more. I'll watch out for your posts in future. Wink

Cheers,
Charlie.
