Post subject: How to ping My Yahoo! feed?
|
|
|
Hi everyone,
I tried pinging the yahoo! feed after addind the Feed url from blogger to My Yahoo!, but it didn't work.
Is it because windows 98 OS?
according to Yahoo documentation this should work
http://api.my.yahoo.com/rss/ping?u=whateverblog address
But after executing this in ie 6 I was forced to download PING.COM MS DOS application file.
How to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance

I think you've left everyone here with an open mouth
Why would you ping it? doesn't it work? work slowly?
Why no one else replied so far? _________________ Dondor,

you forgot the vital bit. the /
you dont need to download anything.
when you ping with the command you mentioned above, the line must end with a /
if you do everything right you should have "whateveryourblogname refresh requested" _________________ 75GB Bandwidth, 5GB, 99.99% Uptime, Unlimited Addons, cPanel - $9.95mo

This looks like an old post. You may be familiar with this by now... In case you haven't used it yet, then try pingomatic.com. It will ping 16 sites with one click.
Also, if you are free member of feedburner, they will ping for you periodically. |
