Hi all,
I have a domain name I'm interested in securing. Lets call it exampleguy.com. It is available. However, I discovered an article written in 2001 by "The Example Guy". Copyrighted with the symbol. I believe I am correct in assuming the article is copyrighted, not the name? My question is : If I secure the domain name exampleguy.com. Will I be open to legal problems from the copyright on The Example Guy.

Do a search on the copyright of The Example Guy, as well as a trademark search, to be on the safe side.
At first glance I would say no, because you specify the domain w/o "The" as it is in the copyright article.
However, you should seek legal advice, as I am certainly no lawyer
